Laura I finished Kill For Me (Romantic Suspense, #9; Daniel Vartanian, #3) by Karen Rose . I gave it 4 stars which was probably too generous. I liked it ok but I thought it dragged and was too long. I think I'm in a reading slump. I'm now reading Just Kiss Me by Rachel Gibson .

I'm halfway through and am enjoying it, though it's not as grabbing as the others of his I've read.

I finished listening to Fool Me Once by Harlan Coben and it was good but not as compelling as some of his other books. Here's my review.

I'm now listening to The Poet by Michael Connelly, Harry Bosch Universe #11/Jack McEvoy #1.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 2447 comments I finished listening to both The Hard Way and Bad Luck and Trouble (Book 11) by Lee Child. Things are getting a bit implausible in these books, but I still enjoy them like one would watch action films - fun filler.

I also finished listening to Lost Light and The Poet. I really enjoyed Lost Light but found The Poet to be a little too long.

I finished reading Alex Lake's After Anna which started out good but then started to get a bit too predictable and weird. I also finished The Twenty-Three (Book 3) by Linwood Barclay.

I finished Barefoot at Midnight by Roxanne St. Claire, Barefoot Bay Timeless #3, and very much enjoyed a story I dint think I'd like. Here's my review.

I'm now reading When Falcons Fall by C.S. Harris, Sebastian St. Cyr #11. This is bittersweet as it's the last book until April's new release.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 1631 comments I have continued with my historical mystery kick by finishing A Gilded Grave (Newport Gilded Age, #1) by Shelley Freydont (gilded age America), Death Comes As Epiphany (Catherine LeVendeur, #1) by Sharan Newman (medieval France), and Dying In the Wool (Kate Shackleton, #1) by Frances Brody (1920's England). I'm currently reading The Graveyard of the Hesperides (Flavia Albia Mystery, #4) by Lindsey Davis (ancient Rome).

I've also been slowly reading The Founding (The Morland Dynasty, #1) by Cynthia Harrod-Eagles which is more historical fiction about the start of a family dynasty, the Morelands. I've been enjoying it quite a bit but I believe there are 34 books in the series which is quite daunting to think about.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 1631 comments These all seem to be 500-600 page books though. Even at a book a month it would take me almost three years to read them all. Doable just...daunting. :-)

Laura Since The Hating Game by Sally Thorne set the bar so high I best switch to some suspense. Starting I Can See You (Romantic Suspense, #10; Minneapolis, #1) by Karen Rose . Seeing how the name of this series is Romantic suspense, Here's to hoping the romance heats up some in this book.

Listening to Rusty Nail - I'd forgotten how gruesome Konrath's writing is, but it is enjoyable nonetheless.

Finished reading Archangel's Enigma - Excellent developments in the overall story arc but the romance was only so-so.

Starting Duke of Sin today.
