Lauren wrote: "I'm reading
and its great!"I just brought this one home from the library. I have so many must-reads on my shelf, I'm trying to get a handle on how to proceed. Glad to hear it's a good one.
I finished today The Betrayal of Trust by Susan Hill. It started off a bit slow but picked up when everything came together in the 2nd half. I also finally finished The Revolving Door of Life by Alexander McCall Smith. I usually enjoy this series but found this one dragged a bit.
I have started Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews (book 3 in the Kate Daniels series) and on audio Survivor In Death by J D Robb (book 20 in the In Death series).

I finished book 1
. Her Hard Ink series was referenced quite a lot in this. So before Book 2 gets released, I guess I better read that series. Now reading

I second that...a 5 star for me!
I finished Exposed by Alex Kava, Maggie O'Dell #6, and it's the best in the series to date. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Unbreak My Heart by Nicole Jacquelyn, first book in the series with the same name.

I finished The Innocent
and I liked it quite a bit better than Orphan X. I think I'm starting to become a fan of Baldacci's writing. I'm very tempted to start right in on the next in the Will Robie series but I have some other books to clear off the deck first.
That's great to hear, Veronica! I haven't started this one yet but am collecting the series in audio.
Jonetta wrote: "That's great to hear, Veronica! I haven't started this one yet but am collecting the series in audio."It has it's bits of implausibility but IMO you have to expect at least a little of that with books that deal with assassins and covert ops. I just look for it to be entertaining.
I've been too busy to read lately. At the end of May I finished
Trunk Music by Michael Connelly. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

So happy you liked it! Know what you mean about the narrator.
Jonetta wrote: "Did he grow on you?"Yes. The only reason I kept going was because the book was given such rave reviews but then I was glad I did.
Jonetta wrote: "Exact same thing happened for me:)"I only remembered this happened when you highlighted it! Sorry I should have warned you.
I finished Magic Strikes and loved it. Best in the series so far. I will now start Murder in Little Italy by Victoria Thompson (book 8 in the Gaslight Mysteries).

You just made my dad's day Stephanie! He's read that book and I went to ask him - he's not a big reader so felt very proud of himself giving me a verbal review. He's says it's pretty much over the top gruesome all the way through the book. He suggested you watch the movie as it is much tamer, lol. He's says there is a documentary too.
I finished The Anatomy of Jane by Amelia LeFay, WJM #1, and here's my review.
