I am reading The Darker Side by Cody Mcfadyen and its my least favorite book in the series. Not liking it so far, which I was not expecting this. Yuck!

I add my comments and recommendations for this series. And it gets better and better with each book. I love it when we get to know characters and a community, and Louise Penny does this extremely well. Enjoy!

It was darker than the previous two. One plot line was closed (I think), perhaps two, but I expect the fourth book may be just as dark. I'm really liking this series.

I read Chupacabra's Song by Jim C. Hines yesterday while waiting at dcotors appointments. It's book 0.5 (I guess) in the Magic Ex Libris series and only 18 pages (Kindle). I enjoyed the back story on Nicola.

You are welcome Kris! The audiobook of A Rule Against Murder isnt bad, I just imagined that it would be a lot better. It might get better. Im reading the book at the same time and I am only on page 40.

Finished book 1 this was ok. By the end I really disliked the heroine and gave it 3 stars which is low for me. I am going to try one more.

It's a great series, Mary Beth. I had not been aware of the state of the police department in New York at that time. It was an eye opener.
