I just took a look at the series listed for Karen Rose. I don't see this novella at all.

It's on there, just showing up at the bottom.
I checked Rose's website and she lists it as #4.5. This was originally released in an anthology with other authors and is now a standalone. She appears to have placed it in its original published order.

I was just reading some reviews on Amazon. Someone mentioned that the characters in Dirty Secrets are also in Watch Your Back. I think Watch Your Back is #15 but I haven't got that far in the series.

However, they don't list novellas in the book order. I use them for the author of the week bibliographies but have to refer here for the novellas.

I'm a huge fan of Shayne's Brown and de Luca series and recommend you get the rest in the series.
A number of us here are big fans of Amanda Stevens' Graveyard Queen series, especially the audiobook format. It seems to be of the ilk you've described liking.
I'll also plug Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooters series. The first book is good but the rest are pretty special. It's romantic suspense.
Hope this is helpful.

There are some series where the novellas are essential parts of the series timelines (In Death series for one). I don't always read them but do when I'm advised to do so.

Rita, do you use the skip feature? It will allow your "next book in series" to be what's really next for you.

Recently I have started to look at Fantastic Fiction, here, FictFact AND author's website to figure out series...I think I Fantastic Fiction and FictFact are getting annoyed with my emails on series corrections, lol.
Omg Kris...Fictfact has never emailed me and I have 30 ongoing series...I think you need to check your settings lol. That or...you are less behind than me.
Sorry Dawn, I mean I send them emails because I notice that some of the series they have listed are missing a book/novella, are in the wrong order or are listed as standalone when they are part of a series. They correct them pretty quick and sometimes email back with a thanks lol.
I've sent FictFact quite a few emails to add a book to a series as well. And Kris is right, they add them pretty quickly. I've never gotten a "thank you" email though.
Monica wrote: "Erin wrote, Have you read The Iron Knight yet, Monica?..."Not yet, now I'm kind of nervous to, lol. Maybe I'll skim and then skip to Ethan's book."
Don't be nervous, Monica! The book has a really good rating so chances are, it was probably just me. I'll be really interested in your feedback whenever you get to it. And ... if there's one silver lining -- there's lots of Puck!:)
I've got Ethan's book checked out of the library so I'll be reading it soon. Fingers crossed that it's a good spinoff!
I just finished Angel's Peak which is book 10 in the Virgin River series. I loved Sean, Franci and Wide Iwish Rose ;). The downside to these books for me is still the saccharine storylines and the commonly gender stereotyped characters. I always like the books but I tend not to love them. I plan to continue on through the end of the series but I'll probably space the books out quite a bit.I'm now starting Sleep with the Lights On which I'm thinking will be a nice palate cleanser after the sweetness of Virgin River :).
Jonetta wrote: "Oh, it definitely will cleanse your palate. Glad you enjoyed Angel's Peak better, though."I really did! Thanks for encouraging me to continue. Sean's storyline was definitely a good one and Maureen was a riot!
The stories become much less sweet or saccharine (like that better) as you call it going forward. You'll be pleased. It doesn't lose the sense of community but the issues the couples' face are more intense.
Erin wrote: "Don't be nervous, Monica! The book has a really good rating so chances are, it was probably just me. ..."Well, we tend to have similar tastes, so I'll let you know what I think when I get to that book.
And I need to get back to the Virgin River series.
And I hope you like Sleep with the Lights On! That's a series I need to catch up with too. Oy, this is Book Series Addict Anonymous, right?
Jonetta wrote: "The stories become much less sweet or saccharine (like that better) as you call it going forward. You'll be pleased. It's just a personal hang-up of mine. I can't bear the constant hand holding and barn raising. I'm such a curmudgeonly reader. Lol!

Indeed it is! Lol!

Weird. I add series and books all the time and almost always get a "thank you".

Same here. Though, they've recently instituted a new system where your requests are logged, updated and assigned a status within your profile.

Yes I saw that and I like it. I can see which books I've suggested and been approved.

Regarding Fictfact, how can you edit a book title? I've noticed that Soulbound from the Darkest London series is listed as Spellbound. Do I just email them?
Monica - I am not as familiar with FictFact yet but when I am on the series page there is a link that says Missing a Book in a series. Then it gives you a form to fill out (author, title, series name, etc)
Erin - I am glad you are continuing and liking Virgin River better. I agree with Jonetta that the books get better.Monica - I really enjoyed listening to Virgin River on Audio and it went by so fast :)
Finished Vision of Darkness by Tonya Burrows and here's my review.
I also finished Fanning the Flames by Victoria Dahl and loved it. Review to come. I'm now reading the next book in the series, Looking for Trouble.

Also, if you select Contact Us at the bottom of the home page, you can report the error.

I really wish I could listen to VR. I think I might enjoy that format (I listened to one). My library has the whole series in ebook format but no audios and I just can't justify spending my audible credits on books that I could have for free.

I've been wanting to try out some Victoria Dahl books forever but still haven't managed to fit one in. I think I have the Donovan Brothers books.

Series wise, I'm reading the short stories in the Pax Arcana series, a novella in the Feral Warriors series and

Dawn, you've got to apply the two-book rule here! I had issues with the first book but glad I pushed on.

I loved the Donovan Brothers series! This book is the first in a spinoff of her Jackson Hole series. You don't need to read the first series before the novella but the book I'm reading now is tied to the other series.

Erin...I lucked out that my library added One Click Digital to their elibrary services (same idea as Overdrive but not as many titles) as they have many of Carr's audios as my library had none.

I emailed them and they've already corrected the issue. I'm not use to such speed on a book site, lol, as a former Shelfarian.

And there are only three people! All unpaid.
And there are only three people! All unpaid.
Andrew - is that through your library? I listen to them on my iPhone or iTouch. Jonetta - wow only 3 people! That's even more impressive.

I'm glad that I read the series but I never really learned to like Mac's character. I always wanted to smack her, lol!

I thought I was in the minority in thinking that Mac was annoying. After reading the first book, I didn't continue because of that. I thought I'll give it another try in January though since I already have the books.
Oh, definitely Jorran! I almost didn't continue but Erin pushed me to keep reading and it was the right thing to do. I rated the first book 3 stars but was tempted to rate it less because of Mac.
I just finished listening to Thrilled to Death by L.J. Sellers and very much enjoyed it. Loving the series.
I'm now starting Ricochet by Sandra Brown. I've had this audiobook forever!

Enjoy, Jonetta!
Jorran wrote: "I thought I was in the minority in thinking that Mac was annoying."OMG, no! That's one of those truths universally acknowledged by anybody who has read that series. But it's worth it. :)
OMG! I just found a narrator with the most delicious voice EVER! I started listening
and HOLY MOSES, what a sexy voice!!! His name is Christian Fox and now I'm looking more books narrated by him.Somebody should hire this guy to do narrate sexy PNR.
BTW...I'm reading 5 books at once. Sigh...I should try to finish at least a couple before the end of the year.
Start and binge read Don't Tell, Have You Seen Her? and I'm Watching You, the first 3 books in the Karen Rose series. These books are not for the faint of heart.
