I finished listening to Taken with You (book 8 The Kowalskis) by Shannon Stacey and I enjoyed it. It was the perfect read to go in between a lot of heavy crime/suspense books. And since Lauren Fortgang was narrating, I enjoyed it even more.

I enjoyed this story, too. One more and you're done with this series!

First, GREAT to see you here, Debbie!!! Happy New Year!
Next, enjoy Serendipity! I really liked this story. Love this series as each book is better than the last.
Lastly, don't be a stranger. You are missed:)

Yay!
I started a new series by reading the debut novel:
. The second book is due out this Spring, and I got to know several characters in the first that I know will appear in the second. At least I'm up to date right now : - )
Jonetta wrote: "Congrats, Laura!"Thank you, I have had amazing luck getting so many that I need from the library. Too lucky maybe. All my holds are coming in at once.
I finished A Game of Thrones. It was a reread and loved it just as much second time around. I'm all ready to face book 2 and get through it!I read A Questionable Client (book 0.5 in the Kate Daniels series) by Ilona Andrews. A very short but enjoyable read. Really looking forward to book 1 in February!
Have started Tuesday's Gone (book 2 in the Frieda Klein series) by Nicci French.

Good idea. I wish I'd done that -- my read and unread are all still in the freebies collection.
I still need to do some culling. I have a ton of duplicates where I got the freebie from ARe first and then it showed up free on Amazon so I got it there too. Plus all the freebies I'm never going to read. *sigh*
I got next to nothing done this weekend because I got totally sucked into the Life Lessons series I started last week. I finished Life Lessons and read Breaking Cover, And to All a Good Night, Home Work, Compensations and now I'm reading Learning Curve, the last book in the series. Wah! It's an excellent m/m contemporary romance/mystery series that follows the same couple through all these books.
I finished The Promise (Book 5 Thunder Point) by Robyn Carr, and really enjoyed it. The end kind of threw me, I think a character acted contrary to who they were throughout the whole series up until that point. With that being said, I think they were justified in their reaction and shouldn't have been the only person apologizing. I am now reading The Homecoming and liking this one even more than The Promise.
I am also doing a re-listen of The Wallflower series by Lisa Kleypas. I listen to this series about once a year. I love these books. Right now I'm on It Happened One Autumn.

I don't remember the end of The Promise...

How do they hold up in the second go-around?
Charlene wrote: "Monica, I read and really liked the Wallflower series books when they came out. How do they hold up in the second go-around? ..."This is actually my 5th go-around, lol. And I still love them just as much as the first time.
I've practices a whole lotta self control by not reading this,
when I first received it. I'm giddy with excitement now.
Jonetta wrote: "Liz (Bugetta) wrote: "I got next to nothing done this weekend because I got totally sucked into the Life Lessons series I started last week. I still have a little more to go in the last book. I want to finish but I don't want it to be over. :-D). I think you'd like the series, Jonetta. Unfortunately, the books are pretty pricey. Kobo coupons and ARe buy 10 one free are how I got them. :-)
I checked and already had the first book on my shelf:) Yes, they're pricey so I'll wait until I'm ready to read the first book.
Jonetta wrote: "I checked and already had the first book on my shelf:) Yes, they're pricey so I'll wait until I'm ready to read the first book."Good plan, because no doubt you'll want to continue to the next book right away. There are a couple of free novellas that are definitely worth reading too. I finished the last book, Learning Curve, yesterday. Wah! It was really good and I hope the author will re-visit the characters down the line.
Sunny wrote: "I've practices a whole lotta self control by not reading this,

I've had the Jane Yellowrock series on my TBR list forever, it seems. One of the these days...

I finished The Homecoming (Book 6 Thunder Point) by Robyn Carr and really liked this one. I think I might just move on to the next book, One Wish. I've been doing lots of binge reads lately, which is not like me at all.
I am trying to catch up on I-Team with
. After this one, I only have one more to be current. That Christmas one that I haven't read

Enjoy, One Wish! I need to get back into these...I am so happy my elibrary has them on audio.

Binging on series is a good thing:D
