I finished Shadow's End. The audiobook was good due to Sophie Eastlake but the story was not as strong as some.

You are not alone !
I just re-read
and
as audiobooks, they tie in nicely to the latest book in the series. These short novellas are better than some of the main series books IMO.

And then, some of them would have these moments when you'd "get" them. Fascinating how she can craft such luscious characters and keep us coming back.

I'm so behind in that series.

The first four or five are not to be missed ,along with the novellas, but I am not 100% behind the rest of the series.
I finished the first three but wasn't crazy about #3. Then comes a whole spate of novellas and I got confused.
Jonetta wrote: "I finished the first three but wasn't crazy about #3. Then comes a whole spate of novellas and I got confused."Rune and Carling were in number three, right? Four, Oracles Moon, takes place right after and is really good. My avorite of the series, especially on audio. It's so funny and sweet, and still good UF.
The four novellas, which have been re-published as Divine Tarot and Tarot's Destiny, are four stories revolving around a set of tarot cards, which are imbued with power from the goddess of love. They move around in the world, influencing people and events. If you have read the first three books you will recognize some of the characters but most of the people are peripheral in the main series storyline.
I think I might resume the series with audiobooks. This would probably be a good one to listen to versus read.
Laura (Kyahgirl) wrote: "Guess what Monica, this is the on,y series where I have read several books and enjoyed them but did not really like any of the characters. You are not alone ! ..."Good to know. I'm on book 4 and I don't see it changing in the next two books.
And Jonetta, you are so right, it's amazing that I can dislike a character so much and yet marvel at the author's ability to tell such a great story. Also, I'm reading this series with the thought that Slaughter doesn't expect us to love her characters. And that just brings the books alive to me. They're realistic and gritty and unapologetic and I love it.
Although, I have not yet "gotten" Jeffrey. I have a feeling he's always going to be the one that just never added up to me.
Oh, I met him when we group read Triptych years ago. I do love him after just one book. He's one of the reasons I decided to binge on Grant County. So I can get back to him!
I just finished an awesome book
(sad but really good) and now I can't seem to settle on anything! I'm reading three books at once:

I loved The Sea of Tranquility, one of the best YA books out there.
I'm so envious you have The Score! I can't wait to get that one next month.

Ready for#6. I'm slowing down because there are only two left right now. There's one scheduled for release in 2016, though.
Jonetta wrote: "Lol! I just want you to soldier on and catch up with me:) So selfish..."I think I only read
, so I'll need to get to the rest of Will Trent in 2016. If anyone is starting the second book, let me know and I'll try to get my hands on a library copy.

It was a busy reading week for me. First I read
Cold Sight by Leslie Parrish. It was an interesting romantic suspense story. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Last night I attempted
For the Love of Pete by Julia Harper (AKA: Elizabeth Hoyt). I had a hard time getting into this story. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Today I finished
The Other Woman by Hank Phillippi Ryan.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Finished
. This is one of my favorite series ever. This read like the last book of the series with a check in at the end with each couple. I thought it was brilliant. I know there is another novella but not about the main group of friends. Will be a strange read I think.

I keep wondering how long this series will run.

Loved it!!!
Here's my review.

I got buried by Christmas and family! I hosted this year and while all went well, I had little GR update time.
I finished Controlled Burn by Shannon Stacey, Boston Fire #2, and loved it! I'm enjoying this series much more than Boys of Fall. 4 stars
I finished listening to The Gamble by Kristen Ashley, Colorado Mountain #1, and loved it! 4.5 stars and review to come.
I also finished listening to Nowhere Ranch by Heidi Cullinan, a m/m romance that was too sexually explicit for my tastes. It had a great story that was overwhelmed by the steam. Here's my review.
I started Cold Fear by Toni Anderson, Cold Pursuit #4, almost a week ago and am only halfway because I had no real reading time. I'm loving it, though!
I'm now listening to Career of Evil of Robert Galbraith, Cormoran Strike #3.
