Lots of reading done this week. First I read
Split Second by David Baldacci. It's a good start to the King & Maxwell series. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Then I read
One Night with You by Marie Force. It's the prequel to her Fatal series. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Last night I read
See Them Run by Stacy Green. I couldn't put it down.My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Though I have all of the books in the series, I didn't have King & Maxwell on my series list in this group. I'm glad we read it as I enjoyed it, too.

I finished In the Dark by Marliss Melton, Navy SEAL Team 12 #2, liked it quite a bit. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Vanished by Kendra Elliot, Callahan & McLane #1.

is amazing. I'm putting off reading the last book in the series because I don't want it to end. The author said she is writing another so I may wait until that one is out and read them both together.

I really enjoyed Baldacci's Memory Man and would like to try more of his books. I may have to read that one! I am so behind on the Fatal series :(
I am so glad you liked the Lucy Kendall series, Robin.

Last few months just flew by but I am going to try and catch up on the Melton series.

That would be great!
The new book comes out in the Fall of 2016 according to White's website.

Had to put Vanished back on my shelf as I need to read the connected series, Bone Secrets, first. I'm reading Ms. Manwhore instead for now until we sort it all out.

Just curious. I have some of these will get to them someday.
A friend has read both. Plus, I referenced the character list for the books in Bone Secrets and Mason Callahan figures prominently.

You're not clueless! I was a member of another site called Shelfari (still am) where they provide character listings for their books. Members can edit the pages to provide detailed descriptions.

Today I read
Wife for a Day by Patti Berg. This is a cute, light contemporary romance. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I finished Ms. Manwhore by Katy Evans, Manwhore #2.5, and thought it a fun, extended celebration of an HEA. Here's my review.
I'm now starting Run from Fear by Jami Alden, the final book in her Dead Wrong trilogy that's languished on my shelf!

Enjoy, Run from Fear. It's been awhile but I do remember liking it!

Hope to get to it either this week or next.

I finished Fair Game (book 3 Alpha and Omega) by Patricia Briggs. All I can say is whoa. That was way more than I was expecting. Loved it. It made me miss Mercy and Adam, so I'm sucking it up and finally getting to Night Broken (book 8 Mercy Thompson). I switched from reading The House on Tradd Street to listening.

Yes! Me too! It's holding me over until The Visitor is released next year. I think I might be binge reading this series...
And I'm enjoying the narration also.

Enjoy Night Broken!
I'm halfway through the second Grant County book by Karin Slaughter:
.I have no idea yet why the title is so named, and it's a very grim story about young teens involved in some kind of abuse. Disturbing and engrossing.

This one was the most difficult to get through. Really tough themes.

I finished reading A Faint Cold Fear by Karin Slaughter and Beyond the Kingdoms by Chris Colfer.
I'm now reading The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan.
I finished
, the second in the Grant County series. It was a tough read for me; I was disappointed by our main characters [Sara, Jeffrey & Lena], and the subject matter made a lot of discomfort arise as I waded through the breadth and depth of depravity and victimization in this one. I gave it four stars, but couldn't bring myself to review it.

This series is definitely not for readers who want likable characters. All of them rub me the wrong way for different reasons but the stories are so engrossing that it makes it worthwhile.

I agree with you, Lauren. At least the main (continuing) characters are flawed and not portrayed as superhuman, which is for another kind of read. I'm sticking with this series.
I finished
The Duke's Proposal by Leslie LaFoy. It's the last book in her Turnbridge Sisters series. I liked the previous books, but this one really dragged. My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I finished Night Broken (book 8 Mercy Thompson) by Patricia Briggs and it was so good. On one hand I'm mad I waited so long to get to it because of my worries about Adam's ex-wife. And on the other, I'm glad I waited. Fair Game from the Alpha and Omega series should be read before Night Broken, just so you're all caught up with what's going on in Mercy and Anna's world and don't feel like you're missing anything. I also finished The House on Tradd Street (book 1 Tradd Street) by Karen White and I really enjoyed it. This is the first time I've liked a book as much as I did this one and not really connected to the main character. Melanie is a hard one, but she did grow on me a bit. I had no trouble with Jack or Melanie's dad though. I'm looking forward to the rest of this series.
I am now reading Second Chance Summer (book 1 Cedar Ridge) by Jill Shalvis. I started it at another time and could not get into it. But now I'm really liking it, I must not have been in the mood for contemporary romance during my first attempt.

Now you've got me psyched to get back to Mercy!
That's a sign of great writing when you can enjoy the story despite connecting with the characters.

Yes, I enjoy that he's a cop that isn't afraid to make waves... no political agenda, just a need to do the right thing. That's pretty loveable.
I finished listening to Undone by Karin Slaughter, Will Trent #3, and again was emotionally all over the place. Review to come.
I also finished Run from Fear by Jami Alden, Dead Wrong Trilogy #3, and while I enjoyed it, got a bit weary from the heroine's eternal angst. (Discussion questions are now posted!)
I'm now reading Stars of Fortune by Nora Roberts, The Guardians Trilogy #1. I got an advance copy through First Reads (my first one in two years of requests). Off to a good start.
I'm also listening to Me Before You by Jojo Moyes and loving the multiple narrators.
