What series are you reading?
Thanks, Jonetta, Laura and Lauren! I will have to go back to read The Glass Sisters duo. Meanwhile, I just did finish
and thought it was one of the better RS books I've read in a long while.
I just finished If You Only Knew by Kristan Higgins and LOVED it! Here's my review.
I'm now reading Kill For Me by Karen Rose, #9 in her Romantic Suspense series.

Let me know when you finish and we can have an informal discussion :)
I've started a new series; I probably saw this one recommended somewhere and glad to have Arapaho mystery series by Margaret Coel underway.I finished
and I'm about to begin
.
I've been gone on vacation and got zero reading done. But I just started listening to Sex, Lies, and Online Dating (book 1 Writer Friends) while I've been unpacking today and I love it. It'll probably end up being my favorite Rachel Gibson book to date.

I've only heard great things about If You Only Knew and I am really looking forward to reading it.

I finished Margaret Coel's second Arapaho mystery this evening:
. I liked it quite a lot. These first books were written in the late 90s and feature a Jesuit priest who serves an Indian reservation in Wyoming and an Arapaho woman lawyer as the mystery solvers, more or less. They are interesting characters and I appreciate both the author's descriptive language of the plains settings (one was in summer, other in winter), and her sensitive treatment of religion.
The books are less than 250 pages, which makes them easy to manage, yet they include full stories.

Oh dear. I might have to hold this one off until I'm not so hormonal lol

I finished Kill For Me by Karen Rose last night because I couldn't put the book down. It was the most crazy reading ride! Here's my review. I'm ready for book #10 in the series but always need to take a break between Rose's stories.
I'm now reading Falling for the P.I. by Victoria James, first book in her new Still Harbor series.

I finished Sex, Lies, and Online Dating (book 1 Writer Friends) by Rachel Gibson and loved it. It could have been a 5-star had it not been for a somewhat rushed ending and the epilogue threw me off a bit (although I know it was used more to set the next book up). This is probably my favorite Gibson book thus far, top 3 for sure. Now I'm listening to the second book I'm In No Mood For Love.

I had credits to burn, and so far they have been well spent.

I agree. It's an entertaining series at least, even if it's not as great as the Bridgertons.

Thanks for the recommendation.

I'm almost finished with the first book in Molly O'Keefe's contemporary Crooked Creek Ranch series,
.So far, I haven't been bowled over, but that might change....
I finished listening to The Secret Sister by Brenda Novak, Fairham Island #1, a romance with a mystery element. I enjoyed the story, made better by the narrator, Carly Robins. Here's my review.
I also finished reading Falling for the P.I. by Victoria James, first book in the Still Harbor series. It was just okay and here's my review.
I'm now reading Salvation by Robin Covington, Nashville Nights #2, and listening to Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay.

I finally finished Focus on Me by Megan Erickson and it was so good! It took me forever to read though because I took a vacation in the middle of reading -- a family vacation with seven adults and four children to entertain. I was so tired at the end of the day no reading was gonna happen, no matter how much I wanted it to! I think I read about 20 pages over the six days of my vacation. Next up is Magic Breaks by Ilona Andrews. I meant to get to this before Magic Shifts came out. Oops!

There's just no way to fit reading in when vacationing with family you like:)
I've got Magic Breaks scheduled, too, but I think Grant County might push it back yet again.

Yeah, and it was totally worth missing all that reading time. The kids were so much fun and catching up with my brother and sister and their spouses. Plus roller skating and karaoke (it was a really fun visit :)).I remembered why I'd been holding back on Magic Breaks - I've been enjoying the short stories and was waiting (hoping) that Gunmetal Magic and the anthology Night Shift would drop in price. They haven't for months, so I used a gift card to buy them. And now back to Kate Daniels!
Fortunately, my library had Gunmetal in audio as it's a full length book despite its numbering as a novella. I loved it!
Jonetta wrote: "Fortunately, my library had Gunmetal in audio as it's a full length book despite its numbering as a novella. The really annoying thing is that I had the paperback version which I got at the library for 50 cents but when I got the audio I donated it. Argh.

I've decided to hoard the books until the end of the series. I can't wait a year between installments :0(

I finished Salvation by Robin Covington and loved it! The story had much more depth than I'd expected and here's my review.
I'm now reading Hot Pursuit by Lynn Raye Harris.

I know! But I was moving and trying to get rid of paperback books if I didn't think I'd read them or had them in another medium and didn't realize there was a short story. Oh well. I'm sure whoever got it from the library was happy to have it. :)

I think I'm too invested in the series at this point to wait. Plus, I hate getting spoiled. I have for all the other series I came to late, even when I tried not avoid it. I guess spending much of my spare time when I'm not reading on GR and book blogs doesn't help. :-D

Of that I have no doubt whatsoever, lol!

I am reading
first in the series. I liked her Private series. This is the first suspense I've read by her.

I loved the first two books in this series. Still need to finish it.

This week I finished
I Do, I Do, I Do by Maggie Osborne. Very good story about three women chasing after their bigamist husband. Loved the characters and the setting in Alaska Territory. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Today I finished
Crouching Tiger, Forbidden Vampire by Kerrelyn Sparks. This is the last book in the Love at Stake series and is a satisfying ending. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm working through The Travises series by Lisa Kleypas. I read the second book years ago not knowing it was part of a series so now that the 4th book is out, I'm starting back at the beginning.
Lauren wrote: "Liz (Bugetta) wrote: "Plus, I hate getting spoiled."Me too! That's why I'm avoiding all Ilona Andrews threads like the plague!"
Don't even look at the book page for Magic Shifts. The first sentence of the blurb is a spoiler. :-/ (I didn't mean to look. Wah!).
I just started a new series (cos that seems to be how I roll this year :-D). It's an m/m romance called
Treble Maker that takes place on a reality competition show for acapella groups and it's really good so far. The author is Annabeth Albert and I've read some short stories and novellas by her and loved them, so I'm excited for a full length novel of her lovely writing!

I have the same issue. If I wait for all the books to be released, then I end up seeing spoilers or hearing too much about the books. After that, I just never get to the rest of the series. So it's better for me to read them when they first come out.
Quynh wrote: "I'm working through The Travises series by Lisa Kleypas. I read the second book years ago not knowing it was part of a series so now that the 4th book is out, I'm starting back at the beginning."I LOVE this series so much. Enjoy!!
Oh, Hardy Cates. Swoon! We might be getting to Brown-Eyed Girl about the same time. I have that one coming up in about 2 books. I am really looking forward to getting to know Joe.
I finished I'm In No Mood For Love (book 2 Writer Friends) by Rachel Gibson and I loved it. She is so good at CR. Now I'm listening to Tangled Up In You. This is book 3 in the Writer Friends series and book 2 in Truly, Idaho series, so I feel super accomplished.

Have you read her Chinooks Hockey Team series? I enjoyed that series a lot too (though I guess I never finished it. Oops! Another to add to my list :)).

Yeah and the Kate Daniels series (especially) is one I'd happily read again if I feel like I need a refresher before the new book comes out.
