Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 2447 comments I finished both Minutes to Kill and Calculated in Death and loved them! I am now listening to Thankless in Death and trying to decide what to read next!

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 656 comments I'm reading The Spring Bride (Chance Sisters, #3) by Anne Gracie , a book I borrowed from the library. It's third in the Chance Sister series.

I see I rated the first book, but I didn't record reading the second. I may have to back-track, but reading #3 after #1 works OK. I think the first book is necessary for the foundational story.

Actually, as things turned out, I had a harder time with Eden than Jordan. Yes, he's an absolute jerk in the beginning but her (view spoiler) made it difficult for me to sympathize with her character.

I had the same issues with the story. Still enjoyed it, though. I know the miscommunication thing is a particular irritant for you, too.

That aspect of the book was fantastic. It was the romance that rubbed me the wrong way. I\m hoping that Noah and Samara's book will be better in that department. I find his character very intriguing.

I think you'll be pleased. The action and suspense was terrifying but the romance was great.

Excellent news! Thanks Jonetta.

I finished Hailey's Truth by Cate Beauman, The Bodyguards of L. A. County #3, and enjoyed the story despite a TSTL heroine. I think I forgave her because it was all about not giving up on her brother. Here's my review.

I'm now reading Three Proposals and a Scandal by Anna Campbell, Sons of Sin #4.5.

It's not as strong as RPO, definitely. The MC is not as likeable and there are a lot of similarities. I'm around 80% in and I don't have any urge to finish it.

Thankfully I got it from the library!
