I finished both Minutes to Kill and Calculated in Death and loved them! I am now listening to Thankless in Death and trying to decide what to read next!

I'm reading
, a book I borrowed from the library. It's third in the Chance Sister series.I see I rated the first book, but I didn't record reading the second. I may have to back-track, but reading #3 after #1 works OK. I think the first book is necessary for the foundational story.

Ooh. Thankless is chilling.

Actually, as things turned out, I had a harder time with Eden than Jordan. Yes, he's an absolute jerk in the beginning but her (view spoiler) made it difficult for me to sympathize with her character.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I had the same issues with the story. Still enjoyed it, though. I know the miscommunication thing is a particular irritant for you, too.

That aspect of the book was fantastic. It was the romance that rubbed me the wrong way. I\m hoping that Noah and Samara's book will be better in that department. I find his character very intriguing.

I think you'll be pleased. The action and suspense was terrifying but the romance was great.

Excellent news! Thanks Jonetta.
I really like Reece's writing style so I think I'm going to get hooked on the series despite my reactions to Jordan and Eden.

This week I read
Slow Heat in Heaven by Sandra Brown. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished Hailey's Truth by Cate Beauman, The Bodyguards of L. A. County #3, and enjoyed the story despite a TSTL heroine. I think I forgave her because it was all about not giving up on her brother. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Three Proposals and a Scandal by Anna Campbell, Sons of Sin #4.5.

Thankfully I got it from the library!
Just finished The Gamble by Kristen Ashley A contemporary romance, more romance than suspense #1 in Colorado Mountain Series. I really enjoyed that it is a long book, over 600 pages. Just starting #2 Sweet Dreams
Just about to start #5 in the Kate Burkholder series,
. Is anyone else out there reading this? I'd love to get in on a discussion when I finish...

Don't think I will be rushing to buy it and read it!
Here's my review of Barefoot with a Bodyguard by Roxanne St. Claire, the first full length story in the new series, Barefoot Bay Undercover.
I am through book 7 of Jaci Burtons Play By Play series. I am loving it so much. Book 10 comes out in August so I hope to be caught up by then.

Thanks, Laura! It's her new spinoff series. The original is Barefoot Bay, beginning with Barefoot in the Sand. The new series stands alone pretty well but you may want to start from the beginning.

I will definitely be listening to it but probably not until September. My audiobook list is filled up until then.

This series has been hit and miss for me. Just as I'm about to give up on it, she pulls me back in with a good one, lol!
