Going to start reading
I wasn't planning on reading it this month but I'm still on hold at my library for the other two books I want to read, so in the meantime I'll be tackling this book.

I really enjoyed that anthology.
I started Reunion in Death last night. I always enjoy the In Death books and wonder why I leave it so long between them!

Oh, Tracey, this is another good one!

I realised that I am down to one must read regency historical author Stephanie Laurens and her latest book is set later than regency as it is the HEA of the son of a previous book so obviously is set thirty years later. Any way this long story does have a point I have been trying new authors:I started with Christina Dodd's Governess Brides, read the first two,
and
. They were well written with a good story line but set in Victorian England, and I prefer Regency.I then read Jennifer McQuiston Second Sons series
and it was unusual and funny so I am on the lookout for the next in the series.I then found Anne Gracie and fell in love with the Merridew Sisters. 5 stars reads for me.
Who is your favourite Regency author?
Ever since I stopped joining group challenges, I've been in a wonderful reading streak. Lots of romance...Anyhow, now I'm listening
, which is the second book in this series. I'm not sure I recommend this series. The PNR aspect is too complicated, the action and love scenes are flat and there are too much politics. I'm in the second book because the first book is sort of cliffhangerish - the series has the same couple in all the books, which I usually like when the world building is strong but it isn't here.
It's why I stopped doing challenges. I'd rather read what I want instead of it fitting into criteria. Many love doing them and find them rewarding, which I think is great. They just don't fit my reading goals.
Good for you, D.G.
I've cut way back on my challenges and am only doing two, which more or less allow me to read what I want.

Jewels ♥ My Devastating Reads wrote: "You stopped doing challenges and became a happier reader?"Sort of. I was in 2 team challenges (meaning, I belonged to a team and we had to read a book that fit a certain theme every week) and it was a bit too stressful. Now that I'm not in any, I'm reading just what I feel like and it's great.
I need some structure so challenges help me a lot but sometimes I join too many. I need to stop doing that.
Lately I'm getting more in the buddy reads. There are two books I've read this year because of BRs which were in my TBR since like 2011. :)
I finished Up From the Grave by Jeaniene Frost, the final book in the Night Huntress series, and loved it. There were a few surprises and the ending was unexpected. Now I can finally read Vlad's most recent book. Here's my review.
Still in a catching up mood so I'm reading Fast Track by Julie Garwood, Buchanan-Renard #12. This will bring me up to date in the series.

I figured you'd enjoy Reunion! She had Eve on the run, didn't she?
I'm hoping to start Coyote next week.

It's been awhile since I have updated my series list but have managed to get through a few more books and finish a series. I am now on book 3 of Stacy Green's Lucy Kendall series
With work and how I've been feeling I'm just realizing I haven't posted once in June! So far I've read:
Primal Bonds by Jennifer Ashley and while I enjoyed it, I didn't like it as much as the previous book in the series. Not to mention that the book was riddled with errors. That really gets to me.
Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas which I listened to as a re-read and I enjoyed it even more the second time around which I wouldn't have thought was even possible.
Blue-Eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas which was also a re-read that I listened to on audio. What a pleasant surprise to discover it was narrated by none other than one of my audiobook heroes Renee Raudman :). The story was as awesome as I remembered.
Country Heaven by Ava Miles. I picked this up on a whim and was utterly charmed by the story.
Thanks :). I'm already starting to feel better and summer vacation has begun so I'm feeling optimistic.

I finished Me Before You by Jojo Moyes and I don't know if I've ever had a book grip me like this one. It was absolutely amazing. I was bawling my eyes out. And oddly enough, a character that I was not crazy about is the character that I connected with the most because of one or two sentences! The words just spoke to me on another level and I'll forever remember them. The narration was so good, I highly recommend the audio route with this story. Although I usually read a book and listen to another book at the same time, this book consumed me and I couldn't pick up anything else. I'm still recovering, lol. I can't wait to try out this author's other work.

Now you've got me excited to listen to this one!

I'm listening to Gena Showalter's Alien Huntress series. I wasn't sure that I would enjoy it because its about Aliens and they aren't really my thing, but the audios are so engrossing (I love Justine Eyre's narration) and I'm hooked.
Starting book 3 in the Cafferty and Quinn series by Heather Graham.
The Dead Play OnJust Finished Book Three in the Joe Ledger series by Jonathan Maberry.
The King of Plagues

I've tried several of her series (lords of underworld, angels) and I always end up abandoning the series.
I finished Say My Name by J. Kenner, Stark International #1, narrated by Abby Craden. Despite the many moments of angst and melodrama, heightened by the narrator, I ended up liking the story, enough that I'm now listening to the second book in the series, On My Knees. Go figure:)

I am enjoying the series. It's full of action all the way through each book I've read so far.

I read most of the LOTU series (I love Greek mythology) but I've kind of stalled on book #9. I haven't read any of her newer stuff because I understand that her writing has taken a turn toward the tamer side since she became more religious. This series is one of her earlier ones so it is her older style.

I FINALLY finished Secret Harbor by Anna Sullivan, Windfall Island Trilogy #3. It was a good story but a bit too tedious. The first half was painful and the second really interesting.
I'm now reading Once and Again by Elisabeth Barrett, first book in her new series, Return to Briarwood.
