Mockingjay Movie- loved it or hated it?????

LOVE OMG <33

I LOVED it!!! I saw the movie on Thursday night, and it's Wednesday now, and I'm still scared that Peeta's going to show up out of nowhere and choke me! Everyone did a FANTASTIC job and I can't wait until the snow stops so I can go see it again!

(Spoilers but who cares) Flawless. It was absolutely amazing and I immediately fell head over heels in love the with Hanging Tree sequence and blowing up the dam. It wasn't in the book, but it really did it for me. I got chills when the rebels started to sing the song.

Nichole Yes! I loved how they added in some rebel attacks. It was brilliant. And that song! <3

LOVED IT!

I thought it was great. I didn't love the first movie. The second one was better, but this one, was just great. I actually teared up during the hospital scene in district 8. Jennifer Lawrence did a great job showing the vulnerability of Katniss. Can't wait to see part 2.

I really enjoyed the film, but it was a bit slow for my taste: I would have liked for more to happen, really, and think that it wasn't a very good decision to split the book in half. They added a lot of things into this film that could've been left out, but I do get how Hollywood wanted to make money. I also felt myself waiting for the other shoe to drop for most of the movie, and when I left, I felt a little...empty? Idk.

Anyways, super excited for Part 2, because I know that it will be AWESOME!

Those who complain about the movie being slow, are probably either action-junkies or people who don't seem to get that the separation of the movies follow a theme (did not mean to offend anyone if I did). Book 3 is war. 1st part of the movie is the 'propaganda' focus (which was pretty much mentioned and implied in trailers and interviews) and the 2nd part being the 'revolution' (that's when shit goes downnnn). The whole point of splitting it in two is to 'set the stage' and build up hype for the grand finale.

I personally loved part 1; I tend to love movies more focused on the characters and environment more than action-drama. I loved the depiction of the characters, it was dark, gritty, full of despair, loss and Katniss-breaking-down. there was so much hurt in this movie. It kinda made me feel uncomfortable throughout the movie.

But that's good! It'll be wrong to enjoy a character's despair. It's how real the despair is portrayed. It was greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat <3

I kinda expected the movie to end after Peeta tried to choke Katniss and she blacked-out. That would've been one helluva cliff-hanger haha

Ooookay I'm going to copy and paste what I wrote in another group with some corrections hehe :P

I loved it too!!! It was awesome. There were some things of the movie that were better than the book mainly because the movies are not from Katniss perspective. I enjoyed watching how the districts took action on the rebellion and Peeta's rescue :3
Then... there were some details from the books that were missing and they were very important :C I wanted more Finnick!!! The cut out a lot of scenes of him and they were crucial for the movie and to create a bond with the character. I don't think people who didn't read the book and saw the movie felt something for him when he talked about his life as a victor. When he talked about Snow's secrets could have been much better if they hadn't cut out his scenes.
Finally I thought they missed some important scenes about Katniss and Gale relationship (I'm team Peeta :P but I still like Gale's character a lot and they could have done more justice to him)

I LOVED IT. I LOVE IT. AND I WILL LOVE IT FOREVER <3 its pretty awesome

It was awesome. Loved it!

LOVED IT!!

I really LOVED the movie, because it was quite close to the book apart fom some scenes they left out. I watched the movie on Tuesday with my whole class and now even the ones who didn't know anything about Mockingjay before are fans.

I loved Mockingjay part 1. I agree that Finnick was missing and the bond that he and Katniss had was not shown enough. I really liked the scenes that showed the rebellion in the districts. I loved the song that Jenifer Laurence sang! People have said it is slow paced, but I disagree. I think that they did an AMAZING job with it and I can't wait for part 2!!!

So good. Please don't freak out, but I loved it better than the book. Yes, i said that on Goodreads. The thing is, I think that Suzanne Collins was writing for the screen, because honestly, the prose in the book was terrible, but the movies are amazing. Would totally pay again to see this in the theater a second time!

I didn't love it or hate it. I feel these movies are as good a film adaptation that can be made. I just think it is hard to translate these books to film because so much of Katniss' thought process is absent in the film. So, these films do their best. I wasn't bored and I'm glad I saw it.

I totally enjoyed this so much. From the moment it started to the end. It made me cry at some parts and even laugh... but i have a twisted sense of humor.

Mockingjay Part 1 is much darker than the previous films but to me it really captured the feeling of loss throughout the movie.

A lot of people are saying the pacing is too slow. It's slower than the others simply because there is no Hunger Games with solid action. This is the first time we have seen the whole gang not enter an arena. To me, it wasn't slow at all. It had enough action to keep me entertained while helping the plot along.
