I cant remember the name of the book, or the author. The Genre was sci-fi. Other than that I remember only the plot. it was that it was about a girl who couldn't manage to make an impression on anyone. her parents would forget her at the store, she didn't have any friends because people wouldn't/ couldn't acknowledge her existence. she meets a guy who experiences the same things. the way that he was sent by a corrupt secret society to kill her. They discover that the society controls people that have their problem and people who have the opposite problem--that they can't develop any attachment to others. The book ends by them blowing up one of the society's headquarters
