Marlita Hill (marlitahill) | 3 comments Hi. My name is Marlita S. Hill. I am a choreographer, a dance educator, and I have written two books on dance and faith. I would really like to connect with others who are interested in this relationship to share thoughts, read books together, etc. Being a child of God in the arts is something that is very dear to me and I am very desirous of hearing others thoughts, journeys, etc.

If you are interested, please send me a friend request.

Be blessed

Glorious (sunrequiem) | 20 comments Hello Marlita, I clicked on this thread because I am a two-time Credite. Credo Chamber Music is a three-week summer program at Oberlin College. It is a faith-based chamber music camp, and it has been life-changing for me.

The three objectives are: Develop the Gift, Acknowledge the Source, Respond with Service. Before Credo, I didn't treat violin as a gift, something that God had given me, in order to help other people with. Every Thursday we would travel to nursing homes, parks, homes, and hospitals, and play for the people there. It was truly a blessing to work with all the musicians I had met. The people I met there were conservatory level students and world-class musicians, but they were so humble, loving, and genuinely open and generous with themselves. Whatever they did it was full of love. It has completely changed my way of living. Once you are part of this family, Credo remains within you forever.

If anyone else sees this, and knows of anyone who plays/teaches an instrument and loves God, direct them to http://www.credo-music.org/ . I am speaking from a camper's perspective, Credo is like no other place or family! If you have any questions please let me know! I am a proud believer in Credo's mission. We live by Philippians 4:8 -
“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right,
whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable —
if there is anything excellent or praiseworthy —
think about such things.”

God bless, Gloria
