I think that's kind of the point. Having a minimum for a history length forces you to flesh out the character more. I think you also need to put in a 5+ sentence description since that is included on the form. =)

However, she is not unhealthy; her bones are just incredibly lightweight like that of a bird. Her eyes are dark like her hair, and the intelligence clearly behind them says that she is not the airhead the rest of her appearance could lead one to believe. She spends a good deal of time on her make-up in order to cover up a scar running down the length of her face from an accident with her powers in her early years.

Neither of Ace's parents had the power of air. Her mother had the power of fire and her father the power of water. Both of them tried to see if they could manage to get her to manipulate one of their elements, but they did, of course, fail. By the time she was six, they had learned she had power of air and gave her a tutor so she could learn to control her gift.
Time passed (for the most part) uneventfully until Ace turned 13. Then, her father was diagnosed with cancer. In the time between then and her father's death when Ace was fifteen, Ace got into research in hopes of doing the impossible: finding a cure for cancer. When she was nineteen, she was brought onto the Diamond.
Personality:
Ace is spirited. She has no qualms about causing mischief or talking back to her superiors. She has a quick wit that enables her to come up with witty comebacks quickly as well as calculate complex equations quickly in her head. She is also determined and driven towards her goals. However, it is due to her genius that she has her greatest flaw: arrogance. She believes that she can do anything, and she can be incredibly overconfident. She is also not particularly sensitive and will hurt others' feeling without even realizing it.

History: Penelope was an orphan, and was raised in an orphanage. She was a very unique, awkward child, so she didn't have many friends. She escaped from there when she was 11, and has been alone ever since. At age 13, she was accepted at a private high school for gifted children. She was never quite accepted as a person there, either.
