Any workaround for adding 2nd similar award?

2) CIPA EVVY Awards for Literary Fiction (Bronze) (2019)"
You have to put both categories on the same entry. So in the Category field you enter:
Spiritual Fiction (Silver) and for Literary Fiction (Bronze)
If you had a winner and a nominee, you would enter the winner and leave the box checked and then enter, for example
"Fiction and Nominee for Mystery/Thriller"
I have seen cases where the book has won or been nominated in different years. You will want to add the year for the winner, or if both winners, the first time. In these cases, the Category field will look like
"First Mystery (2016) and for Paperback" where 2017 is entered in the year. I always use the year for the winner in case one year is a Nominee and the other is the Winner. I figure the author ought to get as high a listing on the awards page as is possible.

Maybe I'll submit a request else for an update in programming to allow duplicates because as-is is currently quite inconvenient.
As an librarian longer than me, which discussion area of help would you recommend for that? If no idea, no worries - I'll wander around and see what I find.
Thanks so much!!

I don't think it's a workaround. An award can't be entered twice, just like you can't add a book twice to a series.
If asked, I would tell staff not to change it to allow multiple entries.

Unlike book editions, awards are different. Two awards are two separate and distinct awards - even though from the same organization and same book. Because they're separate awards, and so each award get its own line, just seems multiple awards should be allowed. Plus it would make it easier to follow the prescribed format.
Thanks for earlier mentioning about using the year for the winner as opposed to a nominee. I'd like to think I'd have decided that the same way when/if the time came - adding the year to the "best" award, but I certainly may not have. So you having mentioned that is helpful as it'll stay in the back of my mind should it come up. :)
Thanks again!

I understand the "root" of the award is added as step 1 and step 2 is adding the category, year, etc.
An example... say a book gets a bronze award & silver award - same organization - 2 different categories, such as
1) CIPA EVVY Awards for Spiritual Fiction (Silver) (2019)
2) CIPA EVVY Awards for Literary Fiction (Bronze) (2019)
CIPA EVVY Awards is the root, and once the first entry is fully added it will NOT let me add CIPA EVVY Awards again to create the second entry.
(This may also be why some awards get created that aren't really awards.)
My workaround so they both show and are clickable would be to add both awards together as ONE category.
Step 1 I'd add: CIPA EVVY Awards as award
Step 2 I'd enter the category as: Spiritual Fiction (Silver) & Literary Fiction (Bronze), then enter the year. As there's only one checkbox for nominee or not, I'd have to add one of those in the category as well if not identical - and use the box for the other.
It SEEMS like there would be a real way to do it properly and not do a workaround, but I'm not finding it.
What am I missing? Or am I?
Thanks!!
