What would life be like when all of the natural resources on Earth are depleted and everyone spends more time in virtual reality that in the actual world? That question is answered in the life of Wade Watts, an ordinary 17-year-old boy living in a trailer stack on the outskirts of Oklahoma City. He does everything inside of a virtual world called the OASIS, where he attends school and hangs with virtual friends that could be halfway around the world. It sounds like a dream life, right?
Why did Wade not desire to fix the world's problems instead of fixing the problems of the virtual world?
This books sounds very interesting. I think that Wade and all the other people basically pretend they live in the other world, so therefore, they do not care for their own world.
