Cody Smith | 6 comments This book is seen through four people Autumn, Sylv, Claire, and Tomas. All these characters have a direct relation to Ty the school shooter. The main character is most likely Autumn, Ty's brother. Autumn is a dancer and has endured family problems with her brother, her mothers death and an abusive father. Ty feels cut off from everybody but always looked out and was close to his sister. Ty then feels more abandoned after he finds out Autumn is gay.

Should Autumn feel guilty for Ty's actions?

Aiden Ellis | 5 comments Yes I would say that Autumn should feel guilty for Ty's actions. Maybe she could of helped Ty from choosing to be the school shooter. If Autumn and Ty are close enough then they could of talked about how Ty was feeling before he shot up the school.

Sofia Shepelwich | 5 comments I don’t think Autumn should be guilty or responsible for Ty’s actions. She can’t control everything he does. Maybe she could have helped him, maybe she tried. I think it would be hard not to feel guilty because I’m sure others would blame her.

Emma Lane | 6 comments I don’t think Autumn should feel guilt for Ty’s actions. Even if Autumn had tried to reach out to reach out to her brother, it doesn’t necessarily mean it would change anything. If he had the plan of what he wanted to do already stuck in his head, nothing she would have said could have changed that.

Jacob Simon | 5 comments I feel like Autumn did what she could. Ty should have been more open towards other people. Seeing as Autumn didn't understand why her brother did this, it wouldn't be her fault if she didn't know what was happening.

Autumn shouldn't feel guilty for Ty's actions. It isn't her fault her brother made this type of decision. How does Ty feel abandoned when he finds out Autumn is gay? Maybe it was the way he found out. Did Autumn indirectly or directly influence his choice of action? Did she guide Ty toward the direction of his choices? If so, yes she should feel guilty. However, she does not need to feel guilty about her choice of gender.
