ABANDONED. Fiction novel Sci fi, post apocalypse, followed multiple characters

I read this book around 2016-2017 and is was recently released then.

SPOILERS (probably)










beginning of book has a battle between robots and humans. one of the characters participates in this battle and has his body taken over by a robot. As the plot progresses, his flesh begins to rot off until his body is reduced to a robotic frame. Other characters' perspectives are followed. A faction that appears later in the book despises all things robotic (including prosthetics).
