"I didn't care about them, people don't always do things with people they care about." He sighed putting his hands on her arms "Some people do it to release tensions or anger. I actually and truly care about you Jules."

"How would you know? I went to jail to prove to you that I cared about you. I now have a criminal record for you. I'm here with you now. Doesn't that count for anything?" He said almost in a pleading voice.

He pulled her into a hug "Do you not see that? I totally fell for you Jules. Fast and hard and i'm completely at your mercy."

"But now i'm asking you. If you know that I care about you," his eyes were pleading.

He sighed dropping his arms and walking away back to the kitchen "the burgers are ready." He said weakly, wanting to change the conversation.

"It's okay. Let's just try to forget it okay?" He said turning to give her a plate with a juice burger on it.

He clenched his fists trying to fight the anger now seeping in.

Taking a deep breath he walked back into the cabin. Having wiped his hands on his pants to eliminate the blood that had collected.

"Are you ready to eat?" He asked looking at her.

He smiled weakly "great, you out the veggies on top of it with ketchup and whatever else you want."

"It's pretty good with all that stuff on it." He said smiling through his teeth.

"No? You can do that on your own." He said with a bit of confusion.

"You'll do what you want. You can make your own decisions Jules." He was exasperated.

"You'll make me mad if you don't think on your own," he was after all telling the truth. He couldn't tell her berthing and not did he want to.

"Then don't Jules," his voice soft as he said it. He didn't want to upset her either no netter what he did his intentions were never to hurt her.

"That's not how it works. You need to do things on your own, if you'd do that that would make me happy." He wanted her to understand the point of the discussion.

"And I answered by telling you some people don't need someone special fool around with." He kept his voice leveled.

"Because I would've done those things the second I met you. We've been together on the run and now it's been 2 weeks I would've done something with you if I didn't care about you." He explained.

"If you're really trying to see if I care about you or not..." He let his sentence trail he would kiss her to show her that she was the one he cared about but that might be an okay for her to slap him.

"Jules, I didn't know you before. Those girls meant nothing, you're the only one." He took her hands in his.

"That I cared about them? None! I never told them anything," he had to make sure she understood that. He didn't want to let on that her being jealous was cute and made him feel good.
