"Yes mother." She said and obeyed her. No one cared in the end. "Mom wants to start the car."

Her father nodded bringing the car around and she got in it. She will be able to keep her cool for now.

Her mother walked out her head held high, her high cheek bones standing out making her look pristine. "We'll be home soon honey." She said once getting into the car "You might want to sleep, you look awfully tired."

"Yeah I think I will take a long bath" She said. She felt so bad. Didn't he cared that she tried. She did what she could do.

"We finished renovating the one on your floor. French titles, Persian curtains and rugs. You'll love it." She rambled on about the many different designers she had to get it fixed in time for the law firm party she was holding in her house.

"Yeah thanks" She said. A nice long bubble bath will make her feel better. She should at least call and say good bye to him. It was always about her parents not her.

Her mother continued to chatter with her husband about party preparations and other things.

Nathan banged his fists against the wall, they had taken off the handcuffs until the time being. He had paced all he could and wanted to just break out of this stupid cell.

She held her cell phone close to her in her pocket. Things were awful like that.

At home Margaret (moms name?) helped Jules out of the car and up to her room where she left her with a kiss on the forehead and promises that a bath would be drawn for her.

Jules walked up and faked another smile at her mom. She got into the bathroom and ran some bubbles and relaxed. She picked up her and phone. She dialed the number to the police station and used higher pitch voice. "Hi I um Marie and I heard my brother is in jail and I wanted to talk to him."

The police officer nodded and went to hand the phone to Nathan. "Some girl saying she is your sister "

[Kassandra]

Nathan looked skeptically at the phone, he didn't have a sister but he went with it anyways taking the phone slowly "Hello..?"

"I-i-im so sorry." She whispered. "I thought you should know t-h-hat I'm thinking on killing myself. I thought I should say goodbye to you."

[Kassandra]

"Jules? Why would you do that?" He asked his voice inbetween harsh and concerned.

"Because I'm alone." She said. "I trusted you and I got hurt." She was lost.

[Kassandra]

"I didn't do anything, you told me I was being selfish." He said into the phone.

"You hurt me when you said it wouldn't workout. You hurt when you don't understand that my parents wouldn't let me see you. It's not my fault the police would not listen. But through all this you made me realize love is not real. And people can't be trusted." Tears were rushing down her face. She was ready to hang up the phone. "It hurt when the one person who I thought cared about me gave up all faith in me."

[Kassandra]

"You said you were going to testify against me! First it was all you rescued me know I'm a crook that you want in jail." He retorted. He wasn't going to take what she was saying, it wasn't entirely his fault, she had given him false hope then like he worried had ripped his heart out.

"Because I have too I don't have a choice." She listened slowly. She knew it was a long shot. "I won't be able to get up there and testify anyways because I will be afraid of all the people. " She looked down some. "I know that loving someone or liking people is wrong my parents were right all the other people will hurt you." She said. "I'm sorry for babbling"

[Kassandra]

"You can't let them do what they want Jules! Don't you understand? You create your own path. Live your life not the life they want you to live." And with that he gave the phone back to the officer. He had given her a choice here either fight for them or lose to her parents.

He didn't finish their conversation. She hung up the phone. Tears quickly kept running down. She wanted this pain to go away. She wanted him to be with her. How can she fight them when they don't listen. She was so tempted to end everything here and now. Her mom wouldn't listen.

"Jules get up, we need to go to court. Wear the blouse and your nice pants." She said throwin open Jules door.

"Yes mom" She whispered. She was scared. She didn't want to do this. After this she will be going to her cousins in Flordia. She hoped this would get done and over with. As she got dressed she wondered if Nathan stilled liked her if he wanted her still. She was going to do her best to save him.

"Jules hurry up we can't be late." She called from downstairs getting her coffee ready.

Nathan paced he didn't know what was going to happen or what Jules had chosen. Him or her parents. He wanted the first choice but he knew it wasn't easy for her.

She hurried downstairs. She wasn't sure what she will do. She looked at her mom. "I'm ready" Her dad wasn't coming today.

"Fix your hair up a little bit. " she told her before opening the door to the outside.

She nodded her head fixing her hair up. "I'm already" She said.

She nodded leading her to the car, "speak in full proper language, use as many court words as possible." She said starting up the car.

"Yes mother." She said. She was scared out of her mind. She couldn't mess up. Could she betray Nathan or her family? Hopefully she wouldn't have to choose.

Nathan was waiting on a bench outside the courtroom, two guards standing on both sides of him. He was nervous, but kept on a straight face. If he was going to go down he'd look like a bad guy and not a sensitive one.

She was nervous as they arrived to the court. She walked in and sat where she was suppose to shaking. She was nervous.

Margaret stood tall in front of the judge as Nathan was led into the room.

She couldn't do this. She was scared out of her mind. She looked over and saw his lawyer. He looked toughed and mean. She heard her mom complain about him all the time.

Jim walked to where Margaret was standing and flashed a grin at her.

Nathan glared at her mom and stood before the judge keeping his face empty of any emotion. He didn't even want to look at Jules incase she didn't fight for them.

Margaret looked down at Jules "it's good your testifying, people like him don't have a place I society."

She nodded her head slowly. She knew her mom was more concerned about winning against his lawyer than her. She was the first person called to the stand. She looked at everyone all eyes on her. Her mom was suppose to ask her questions first then Jim.

[Kassandra]

"So Jules, did Mr. Daniels take your car?" She asked pacing in front of the stand. She was going to point all the evidence to focus on the kidnapping and hot wiring of the car.

"Yes he did. I gave him my keys." She said. She was trying to keep under control.

[Kassandra]

"Did you give him the keys before or after you found him trying to break in?" She urged. She hoped that Jules would give her what she wanted.

She eyed Nathan. "I gave it to him after because I told him if he needed a car he could have mine."

[Kassandra]

"Did you willingly after giving him the keys get into the car?" She asked looking at her and then the jury.

"Do you mean if he forced me in the car? No he didn't forced me in the car he told me if I would get the car." She said. She looked at her mom telling her the truth.

[Kassandra]

"How did he tell you to get in the car exactly? Play the scene out for me." She urge her on, trying to et the sympathy from the Jury.

"Get into the car." She said. "I was like okay I will get into the car"

[Kassandra]

"See, she is a victim of kidnapping. The offender forcefully with words frightened her into getting into her own vehicle." She strutted over to the jury "a young girl shouldn't be forced and afraid to enter her own vehicle."

"I wasn't forced into the car he told me to get in the car." She repeated. "I never said that I was forced into the car"

[Kassandra]

"Fear removed all sense of direction and common sense." She said shooting down Jules argument "witness dismissed."

"Your not listening to me. All you care about is winning this case against your rival. Not the fact that your own daughter is trying to tell you that she wasn't forced or in fear of anything." She snapped.

[Kassandra]

Margaret narrowed her eyes at Jules "you have a clear case of falling for the offender. Many girls your age usually do fall for the guy that kidnaps them and 'rescues them'" she said throwin daggers at her daughter. Why couldn't she just go with it?

Nathan looked up in surprise. Jules was going to do it for them. His heart did a little leap in hi chest as he continued to listen.

"Thats not the point I'm saying is you don't care what I say your going to twist in your lawyer terms and put words into my mouth just to win case. You don't care about me." She said. "All you care about is winning. Are you trying to be my mom? Or a lawyer because at a mom your failing for not listening to one single word I just said." Jules looked at her. "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury I told the officer that I wanted to drop the case because there wasn't a case there. I tried explaining what happen to my mom but she found a great opportunity to get money and beat her rival Jim."

[Kassandra]

Nathan's mouth opened in shock. She was actually doing something on her own, no one had told her to say or do those things.

Margaret was furious "Jules that tone is not appropriate for court. I said witness dismissed!" She barked storming out of the court room, her heels clicking against the tile floor.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have snapped like that but my she is more focused on work then being my mom. I was hoping she would see that but I guess I was wrong." She said getting down from the stand.

Nathan looked around waiting for someone to say something, anything. He didn't dare get up, the court wasn't adjourned and he didn't want to cause more of a scene.
