I want to nominate 2!It says ONE pretty clearly above, but I'm a rule breaker, so here I go.
I nominate The Devlin Diary
I saw it at Barnes and Noble and thought it looked like fun - plus, I know there are more than a few of us that enjoy a time-travel type story :)
I also nominate The Last Queen
It's been on my to-read list forever, I'd love to read more about Juana of Castile.
Mandy and Sawyer - I have read The Last Queen by Gortner and loved it, but hasn't this already been a group read here? If not and if you want me to I can nominate it for you......... Let me know I you want me to nominate it. That way we do not bend the rules, although I agree bending them is usually not a bad thing.....
Sawyer and Mandy, Well that is solved - no rules need to be bent since the group already did read it!
I'm sure many in the group have read it already but how about The Greatest Knight The Story of William Marshal since it is now available in the US.

Okay everyone, it's that time of the month - time to nominate! Anyone who would like to nominate ONE book may do so in this thread.
The theme this month is ANYTHING GOES (BEFORE 1945) (fiction or non-fiction). Pretty much the cut off is World War II, so anything before and including that is fair game! I realized we never let people just go nuts in this read, so here's your chance!
Please try to check amazon or some other site to make sure the book is easily available - the last thing we want is to nominate some great book that no one can get! If you nominate more than ONE book, only the first book listed will make it into the voting thread (so save additional books for the next months!). Also, if the book doesn't fit the theme, I won't add it to this month's voting list, but I will carry it over to the next theme that it does fit under if you would like.
Feel free to nominate one book of your choice in this thread until September 17th, 9pm Eastern.
At around that time, I'll make a voting poll and list all the nominated books in it, and people can vote in the poll until the poll closes (set to last through August 21st). Discussion will start on November 1st.
