Michael Turashoff (superdaddy) | 56 comments I just wanted to introduce myself,my name is Michael. I've been a member for awhile just wasn't very active. I love whodunits comparable to my sll time favorite, Christie.

I wanted to see if someone could recommend a whodunit that could stand up to the classic mystery writer herself.

I love Patterson, Connelly, Hoag and all of them I'm just looking for something different a real roller coaster ride with twists and turns.

I would really appreciate the help.

Hello Michael! Welcome to our group. I am partial to whodunits units myself, so I'll give it some thought. In the meantime, I'm sure others will step in and offer their recommendations. Check out the threads as well.

Skye | 2105 comments Welcome Michael; there are so many wonderful recommendations in this group. Have you read the Kellermans, Grafton, Cornwell, and I will come up with more, I hope.

Michael Turashoff (superdaddy) | 56 comments I have read Kellerman, I have to admit I haven't really gotten into his books after reading a few of them. Maybe I just haven't hit on the right one. I have read Cornwell and love her. I've read quite a few of her works.

Actually, I just picked up a couple of Tami Hoag's books this past week and fell in lover with her all over again. I don't really know why I haven't pursued more of her recent works but I was happy to rediscover her writing.

Today I started "Monkey's Raincoat" from Rober Cais which will by my first by him but it had a pretty high rating and I've heard good things about him so we will see.

I would really appreciate hearing other peoples' suggestions for real twisting and turning roller coaster riding page turning seat of your pants just when you think you have it figured out BLAM you were wrong type of mystery.

Skye | 2105 comments Have you read Lisa Gardner?

message 6: by Michael (new)

Michael Turashoff (superdaddy) | 56 comments No, I have never read a book from Gardner but after I looked her up on Goodreads and read her bio. I saw that most of her books are rated pretty high. I decided to got to my library and check out "The Third Victim". Thank you for the tip I've heard of her but have never read anything she has written. I guess you could say I'm trying to broaden my horizons on my reading.

I really do appreciate all the tips and any additional ones. I have always loved to read a real roller coaster whodunnit and after reading Gardner's ratings and comments I'm really excited about digging into this book.

Skye | 2105 comments That is a wonderful novel; it might be her first: she is one of my favorites.

Skye | 2105 comments Michael; how about Lisa Scottoline and Mary Higgins Clarke?

message 9: by Skye (new)

Skye | 2105 comments Gillian Flynn and Nicholas Conde, too.
Susanna Moore --- a bit risqué, but very fast moving and well written.

Jan C (woeisme) | 39173 comments John Sandford is one with a lot of twists and turns. And he has more than one series.
