Peter Polić | 4 comments Hi all,

Already for some time I am separating books about some place (or books with plot situated in some place) to books which are great to read before the trip and books to read after trip.

For example, Rooftops of Tehran is perfect read before trip to Iran, because is representing Iranian culture and way of thinking in amazing way (The Yacoubian Building works the same for Egypt). On other side, A Small Death in Lisbon is great read after trip because is using many toponyms and giving location another, local perspective, while reading it before would make me confused...

Do you agree with such "separation" of books? Any more examples?

Rosemarie | 3953 comments I hope you enjoy it. Reading the book was a dreamy experience. Of course, for Prague, there is always Kafka, and a trip to the Kafka Museum.

AndyBern | 1 comments I like reading, but I can't separate books before or after something. If the book is really interesting, I read it at any time and everywhere. But I have some habit, to learn a part of a poem written by the most significant author of the country where I go. Actually, I like to make an analysis of them and write essays for the Graduateway platform. I think that https://graduateway.com/essay-example... is a cool place for it. There is something special when you know a part of the countries culture.
