Mike (mikekeating) | 242 comments SF screenwriter and novelist Dorothy Fontana dies at 80. She broke the glass ceiling for women writing SF for television and gave us some of the most loved Star Trek episodes. On the print side, Vulcan's Glory was one of the absolute best of the Trek tie-in books.

Norm017 | 38 comments Hail and farewell, 'Mrs Vulcan' I hope you reached the undiscovered country safely...

...she also managed to work a 'Clockwork Orange' reference into the cartoon series 'Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys' in an episode with a voice cast that included Trek alumni, Michael Dorn, Malcolm McDowell & David Warner, my response on hearing that was 'Oh Dorothy!".
