"Right..." She murmured, smiling tightly. "I'll be back okay?" She kissed his cheek.

She nodded and walked to the kitchen where her dad was. "Hey daddy." She smiled.
Jason looked up from his sandwich. "Hey sweetie." He said with his mouthful.

She smiled and sat down with a sigh, crossing her arms on the table. "So the honeymoon went well. Perfect, actually. Didn't have any attacks." She said proudly.

He looked in her eyes. "I know you're scared. After losing one kid…it hurts. Let me tell you something. Your mother wasn't the first."
Caroline closed her eyes for a second then opened them again. "What do you mean mom wasn't the first?"
He looked down at his plate. "Before I was with your mother, I had a girlfriend. We were young. We were only intimate once. But it was that onetime that she got pregnant. I was scared. I didn't know what to do, but I stuck with her. I was ready for the kid. Then one day she came to me and said she had an abortion."
Caroline frowned deeply. "Oh, I didn't know that...I'm so sorry dad." She said honestly.
He nodded and looked up. "I ended the relationship there. But I never forget her. I wonder what she's doing now? Probably has a family." He chuckled
Caroline nodded and played with the edge of a placemat. "Like I'll never forget losing that baby." She whispered.
"Your named after her." He muttered, as he took a bite out of his sandwich.
She widened her eyes, looking at him. "You named me after your ex?" She asked incredulously. "Does Mom know this?"
He nodded. "She was your moms friend in middle school. We dated in junior year, then I got with your mom in senior year. That may have been why your mom hated me the first part of senior year." He said
"Oh." She murmured, pursing her lips. "What does this have to do with what's going on with me?" She asked.
He cleared his throat. "I lost a child. Not like you, but I did. I still had you. One day you could be giving advice to your kids about stuff. If your still not convinced by me then talk to your mom." He said
She looked down at the table again. "Peter wants to try for another baby. I told him I would."
"If you don't want to then just tell him. It's fine if you wait. I just don't want you to think you'll mess up ever one. You did good with Noah." He said
"I don't know if I want to. I guess I will just to see what happens.." She shrugged. "And Noah wasn't exactly planned."
He nodded. "But you still did good with him." He took a bite out of his sandwich
She shrugged again and rubbed her temple, sighing.
She hugged him tightly. "Have you ever wished I wasn't born?" She whispered. "Or was different?"
He kissed her head. "Never. I love you Caroline. I love you and all your siblings."((What if his ex never had the abortion?))
