She laughed and shook her head. "That's hilarious. I can probably guess what book of was. I know most of hers off by heart. The plots, anyway. I haven't read them all."

"Ah," she nodded. "Deception. Book one or two?"
She pursed her lips and took a moment to think about it. "Ah! I remember." She nodded.
"It still is." She nodded. "Heart Cry. It's young adult fiction. Sci-Fi."
"Main character is genetically engineered to kill the human race." She said.
"I'm not spoiling it." She smirked.
"Not sure. They're still casting." She said.
"Plenty. I have a few copies if you want one." She offered.
"I don't mean to pride in your personal business but we are technically in the same boat," she said, sitting back. "But what's up with Aby's mom?"
She also frowned. "Oh Peter. I'm so sorry."
"I shouldn't be so forward with you." She sighed and began to pack up her things.
She shoved her laptop into her bag and looked at him. "What band?" She asked.((Okay))
"Oh! I love them." She smiled and picked up her latte cup.
She took the ticket and read it. "Awesome! I'll have to see if I can get anyone to watch Noah. I'll let you know." She smiled.
Melody answered the door. "Hey. Are you Peter?"
"Yup." She smiled and let him in her apartment she shared with Caroline.
"I guess." She shrugged and walked into the small kitchen. "Want anything? Caroline is dealing with Noah who just had a tantrum."
"Oh right. Care told me you had a kid. How old are you, by the way?" She grabbed a Pepsi from the fridge and popped open the can.
"So you were seventeen when your daughter was born?" She asked.
"I assumed that." She nodded and looked down the hallway as she heard a scream.
"Don't worry. She'll calm him. She's a really good mother." She smiled.
Melody shrugged and went into the living room. Caroline came out of her room, carrying Noah.
"Hey, sorry about the delay." She sat teary eyed Noah on the couch beside Melody. She was also wearing a band shirt.
She took his arm and followed him outside.
She thanked him and sat in the passenger seat.
"I didn't know you liked this band." She said.
"I went with my brother for one of them then w few of my guy friends for the other ones." She said
"Yeah. I have a big family. What about you?" She asked.
"Oh, well my family will be overwhelming for you then." She smirked,
"But you'll like them." She smiled.
She took her ticket out of her purse and gave it to the person letting people in.
She held onto his hand and followed him.
She sat beside and looked back at a man who was checking her out.
"What! Really?" She covered her mouth to hide a laugh.
"Well, you're not an eyesore to look at." She winked.
Caroline smiled and sang along to the first few songs.
"Grab a girl and show her you like her. Come on guys, don't be shy." The lead singer said.Caroline bit her lip and hugged her arms around herself, peeking over at him.
