Kaya knelt down beside them. "We thought we knew him to, sweetie."Melody sighed deeply.
"I don't want to talk to anyone." Melody stood up.
Kaya nodded and sighed. "I liked David."
"Fam changes people I guess." Kaya nodded.
Kaya followed and grabbed his hand.
"Hey, stop." She tugged him to a stop and wrapped her arms around his neck.
She held his face in her hands and kissed him deeply.
She broke the kiss and buried her face against his chest, sighing deeply.
"We just have to give her space. Caroline will help her." She said.
((Do you want to skip anywhere?))She hugged him tightly.
((That's a good idea yeah. Do you want to skip a few years maybe?))
((Sure, so she'd be 21. I'll start))Caroline was walking around the book store, holding Noah's hand who was now four years old. They were looking at the childrens books. Caroline smiled and looked at the books he kept showing her.
"Mommy can I get these two?" Noah asked.Caroline pursed her lips. "Only one."
Noah frowned and held the book to his chest.Caroline smiled apologetically, turning to face the girl and her dad. "I'm sorry, we're just choosing what one he wants."
"It's no problem," Caroline said and put her hand on Noah's back. "Won't don't you give the nice girl the book? I know you like the other one better." Noah pouted and looked at Abigail then held out the book. "Here you go."
Caroline smiled. "I'm Caroline and this is Noah."
"Nice to meet you." She smiled, "is she your sister?"
"Oh!" She exclaimed and smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry, I didn't know."
"I do to. Noah here is my son." She said, petting his head.Noah looked up at her and smiled lovingly.
"I wouldn't know." She said quietly, shrugging.
"Or I was that kind of girl." She countered.
"Still am. He's only four." She shrugged.
"That's so cute." Caroline smiled.
Caroline waved to him as he left and took Noah's hand.
Caroline went over to the educational bookshelf section and picked out some medical books.
((Okay, but where should they run into each other?))
((Alright))A week later, Caroline was sitting at a table in the corner of a cafe. She had her laptop open and was typing away on it.
She jumped a bit since she was startled. "Oh! Hey."
"What coffee is that?" She pointed at his cup.
She made a face and started typing again.
"Oh, thanks. You didn't have to do that." She smiled but took it.
"Nursing course." She replied. "I'm attending the college down town."
"I'm sorry." She touched his hand.
"Walker." She smiled and sipped her latte.
Her eyebrows went up. "That's my mom."
"Oh!" She laughed. "You read young adult fiction?"
"Oh! That's great." She smiled. "My mom used to write for young adults. She writes for for adults now though."
"Her books aren't that vulgar. They're usually thrillers. With of course some sex scenes," she shrugged.
