She smiled a little and watched.

"Thank you daddy." She stayed on his lap and took a bite.
She hummed softly as she ate her pancakes.
Kaya shrugged then stood up. "I'm going to call Jeff and ask him go watch Brandon and Melody while we're gone.""Where are we going?" Caroline asked.
Caroline just nodded and finished her pancakes. Kaya took her plate and put it in the sink, then held out her hand to Caroline. "Come on Care lets go get dressed." Caroline looked at her dad.
She hopped off his lap and took Kaya's hand. Together they went upstairs.
Kaya helped Caroline change into jeans and a pink sweater. She then sat on her bed and brushed out her blonde hair.
"Make your bed for me okay?" She stood up and kissed Caroline's head. She then gently shook Melody awake. "Get dressed honey Jeff is coming to watch you and your brother."
Kaya leaned against the wall and put her face in her hands:
"I'm so worried for her." She crouched against the wall and took a deep breath.
She looked at him for a few moments with our saying anything then stood up. "I'm going to change."
She went into the bedroom to change. Melody and Caroline giggled from their room.
Caroline was sitting behind Melody, attempting to braid her hair.
"She's french-braiding my hair." Melody answered.
"I can't see. Can you check?" Caroline was perfectly braiding her hair.
"Maria is telling me how to do it." Caroline said simply.
"My friend." She said, taking an elastic from Melody and tying the braid in place.
"Yeah." She smiled and hopped off the bed.
She frowned and crossed her arms. "But she helped me braid. Maria tells me good things."
"But Maria is good!" She shouted. "Markus isn't." She murmured.
"I can't stop them from talking." She replied. "They just do."
"Ready to go? Jeff is here." Kaya stood in the doorway.
Caroline picked up her Nintendo 3DS and waved to Melody as she followed her parents downstairs.
Caroline climbed into the backseat."Thanks Jeff." Kaya murmured to him, touched his arm and went out to the car, putting his chair in the backseat.
She hopped into the drivers seat and pulled out of the driveway. Caroline hummed in the backseat, playing her 3ds.
Kaya yawned but continued to drive.
"Tired." She shrugged and drove onto the highway.
She drove for almost two hours until she pulled into a parking lot of the doctors office.
Kaya helped him into his chair, then helped Caroline out.
The office was colourful and had toys in the corner to make the kids comfortable. They were the only ones there at this time. Caroline looked around. "Are we at the dentist?" She asked, standing beside her dads chair as kaya went up to the front desk.
Caroline gulped and started backing toward the door.
She held his hand tightly. Kaya motioned them both over.
"We just have to wait and fill out this form. Your father and I." She told Caroline and walked over to the waiting room chairs.
Caroline sat in a chair beside her mother and played her 3Ds.
"You'll be called back in just a moment." The nurse said.
Caroline closed her game device and starred off into space. Kaya noticed a wall chalkboard that had patients names on it. "Hey Care, why don't you go over there are write your name?"
"Come with me Daddy." She took his hand.
She picked up a pink piece of chalk, rose up on her toes and slowly wrote her name.
She dropped the chalk and picked up green one. Under her name, she wrote down "Markus" in jagged font.
"I am." She whispered and dropped the chalk.
She looked over at her dad with a blank look. "Yes it is."
"Caroline isn't here right now." She whispered just as her name was called by the nurse. Kaya stood up and motioned them over.
Kaya followed the nurse into a room that looked like a normal office. Dr. Shaw stood up and smiled. "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Walker. Hello Caroline." She smiled down at her. Caroline blinked and hid behind her mom.
"Whoa, let's start from the beginning." She said, gesturing for Kaya and Caroline to sit. Kaya sat her on her lap. "Jason knows more than I do."
Dr. Shaw nodded and wrote it all down. "Okay. So tell me about when the voices were mentioned."
She nodded and pursed her lips. "I understand this must be scary for you. But today we're going to analyze Caroline to see what's wrong. What I ask of you now is to step outside and wait while I talk to Caroline alone."
Kaya held it open for him and blew a kiss to Caroline before closing the door.
"Neither do I. What happened at the chalkboard?" She asked him as she sat down.
