"You were amazing each time." He told her.David colored with Finn on the kid's menu.
“There was a lot of drama backstage before I went on for my jazz duet.” She said. Melody smiled and texted Caroline a few photos of Alexis’s dances.
"What was it about?" He asked. Jason showed Kaya some pictures he had received from old friends.
“Our rival team doesn’t like that I’m competing.” She sighed.Kaya smiled. “You know our old home town is a tour stop for my book.” She said
"Because you're like a professional dancer? Just because you appeared with your sister doesn't mean you're professional. Not that you're not professional you are as good as a professional. Better." He stopped talking to stop rambling."We should visit the high school," Jason suggested.
“I know but they think it’s not fair is all. I was twelve when I was in Melody’s first music video.” She said. Kaya shrugged. “I’m not sure I want to go.”
"They are just jealous and want to win." He said. "There's nothing they can do." "To our town or school? Because I feel like we should go back to town at one point. It's been too long since I visited her." He frowned, thinking of his mothers grave.
“Yeah, I know.” She sighed. The waitress brought the appetizers.Kaya sighed. “You know why I don’t want to go back there.”
Mike nodded and ate some. "I know. It's your book tour. You can choose not to go. I know Alexis does though." He looked across the table."
Melody fed some to Finn.Alexis smiled and nibbled on some of the food while studying the menu.
“Are you angry with me?” She frowned.
Jason turned back to kaya and put his hand on hers. "No, I'm not. You have valid reasons not to go back and the only person who can make you go is you. I would like to go back with Alexis and you but if you don't want to go I completely understand why."
“I think it’d be liberating for you to go, mom.” Melody piped in. “You tell everything in your book and it would be like conquering it all.” Kaya sighed. “I’m not scared of what happened.” She mumbled.
"No one says you're scared." Jason kissed her forehead. "It would be freeing." Mike sent Brandon some videos and photos from the competition.
“I know.” Kaya smiled lightly. “What are you gonna get?” Alexis asked
"I am always here for you. I would never leave your side." He told her."I think the bacon cheeseburger," Mike said. "You?"
“I know you promised me that twenty five years ago.” She laughed “Probably just a salad.” She shrugged
"I will keep promising it to you." He kissed her cheek.
Kaya smiled and leaned into him. The waiter came back and asked what they wanted.
Jason ordered a medium steak with fries.
Kaya ordered a salad, Melody got a burger and Mac and cheese for Finn, and Alexis got a sandwich ‘z
Mike ordered his bacon cheeseburger. "Do you have homework over the weekend?" He asked Alexis.
“I don’t think so.” Alexis thought about it for a second.
"That's good. More time to focus on the upcoming competition." He nodded.
She nodded. “I should review some stuff but nothing big.”
"Need help with anything?' He asked her.
He nodded. "Okay. If you have any questions you can ask me."
she nodded with a smile. Melody slouched and sighed deeply, rubbing her large belly.
Mike kissed her cheek."Soon," David said, leaning over to Melody.
"I hope not now. We haven't got our food yet." David joked. He put a hand on her belly.
She smirked and sat up normally again with a grunt.
“A week or two and you won’t be so...big? Swollen? Tight? I can never figure out the right word for it.” He said.
“Tight.” She told him. “I’ve got at least 3 weeks left though.”“Did you decide on a name?” Kaya asked.
"We finally agreed on Shepard," David said. "That's a good name." Jason nodded.
“Shepard Grey.” Melody smiled.“Oh I love that middle name!” Alexis said.
"It was not an easy decision to come to." David nodded."Alexis and I have an announcement as well." Brandon told them.
“Tell me about it.” Melody giggled.(What did he say? It was cut off)
"We each made a list of names and told each other in hopes that we could have one in common or decide on one." David chuckled. "Alexis and I have an announcement as well," Brandon told them.
“I wanted Grey as a first name.” Melody said.((Still cut off. An what?))
"I wanted Grey for the middle and something else for the first." He said.((What part is cut off?))
“Marriage is all about compromise,” Kaya said. ((Alexis and I have an ___ as well. And it’s Mike))
"Yes, it is. When we don't compromise it's when we both agree." David nodded. ((Announcement))

Kaya ordered some appetizers for them to munch on before they decided on their meals.
