“You should reach out. Or I could if you want.” He said.He smiled and watched her.
She shrugged. “Maybe. We’ll be having the baby soon”.He was a duet to the song Booty Swing by Parov Stellar. Her and Kyle were very advance tappers.
“After the baby of course.” He nodded.He remembered watching them practice this.
She nodded. “Yeah.”She finished her dance and left the stage. She chugged her water and grabbed her phone from her jacket pocket that her friend held onto. “Another hour before my next. Meet me in the lobby.” She texted mike
They arrived and he hit out to help Melody out. He then got Finn.Mike cheered for her then went to the lobby to find her.
Their security came up to them although everyone was inside.She switched out her tap shoes for her sneakers and went out into the lobby, still breathless.
He held Melody’s hand and carried Finn as they walked inside.After walking around a bit he finally found her. “You were amazing.”
She smiled and walked into the building with him.She grinned and hugged him. “thanks.” She giggled.
“Hope we didn’t miss to much.” He said.“You’re welcome.” He hugged her back and kissed her cheek.
“Maybe just one.” She looked at the time.Alexis smiled then parked up. “Melody!”
“There she is.” He walked over.Mike followed Alexis over to them.
Alexis ran up to them and hugged Melody as best she could. “You only missed one.” She assured.“Sorry.” Melody kissed her head. “I had trouble getting out of bed this morning.”
David shook hands with Mike and then Finn hugged him. “Hey little guy.” Mike smiled.
Finn wiggles in David’s arms, wanting down. “What dance is next?” Melody asked.
“My trio with Amber and Georgia.” She said.
David put him down but held his hand since it was crowded.“She’s more than ready for this competition.” Brandon said.
The security stood close when some girls were trying to take pictures. “She always is.” Melody smiled.
“We should go get our seats.” David said to Melody.“I’m going to go get food.” Mike said.
Melody nodded. “Yeah mom told me where they are sitting.“I could use some food.” Alexis told mike.
“Want to go see Grandma and Grandpa?” David asked Finn.“What do you want?” Mike asked Alexis.
“Yeah!” Finn exclaimed. “Just a bagel.” She said.
“Okay.” He nodded. “We’ll see you in a bit.” David walked with Finn up to the seats.“You got it.” Mike went to the concession stand.
Alexis waved and followed mike to the stand.Melody found her parents and sat beside her dad. “Hey.” She whispered.
“Hey.” Jason hugged her softly. “How are you?”“Just a bagel? Anything on it?” Mike asked her.
“Good.” She said quietly cause other people were dancing.“Oh with cream cheese.” She said.
“Good.” He nodded.“Good choice.” He got to the front of the line and ordered.
She smiled and kissed her dads cheek.She smiled and held his hand.
“Did you see Alexis?” Jason whispered.He squeezed her hand and have her her bagel.
“Briefly yeah.” Melody said.“ThBks.” She smiled
“She must be with Mike.” He said.“You’re welcome, babe.” He kissed her cheek.
She nodded. “I have to go get ready.” She told him
Jason picked up Finn.“Okay I’ll see you soon.” He kisses her again.
Melody flipped through the program, highlighting all of Alexis’s dances.She kissed him quickly before leaving to change.
He spared his time watching the show and looking at Finn.He made his way back to the seats.
Alexis got ready for her jazz trio. It was too the song Shot Me Down by Skylar Grey and David Guetta.
Mike watched intently and waited for her.
She eventually went on and performed perfectly with her two friends.
He smiled as he watched her. He cheered for her.
Went it was over, she quickly went back to the dressing room cause she had a quick change, which meant she had another dance in just a dew minutes.
Mike sat back and waited, talking with her family.
She did her large group routine to the song Believer by imagine dragons.
He recorded her dance as he watched.
There was a lunch break after. She changed into her next costume, then put her dance jacket over it.“I’m starved.” Melody said
Mike went back to the lobby."What do you want?" David asked.
She came out with her friend, waiting for her family.“What do they offer here?” She asked.
"You were amazing as always." He said as he went up to her. "Regular concession food." He told her.
Alexis smiled and hugged him. “ThNks!”“Hot dog then.” She said
He hugged her back. "Your family is coming down to get food."He nodded and went down to the concessions.
“Okay well....” She pointed to a crowd of people waiting for Melody.“You got Finn?” She asked
Her first dance was a tap duet with her friend Kyle.
