Three months later, Kaya was at their wedding venue in a back room, getting ready. The ceremony wasn't for another hour and she was already freaking out, they were going to get married in a beautiful forest meadow. Hannah, who was helping Kaya with her hair.
"Thanks." She smirked and looked around the small cottage that all the guests were staying in until the ceremony started outside. "Listen," she moved close to his ear. "Her father is here."
"He's been in jail for four years. He wasn't bailed out but he requested that he walk Kaya down the aisle. She's still his daughter. And he's doing better." She sighed. "He's outside. Don't worry, there is an officer with him."
"I know." She nodded and pursed her lips. "Do you want to be the one to tell her? Of course you shouldn't see her in her dress yet. Perhaps blindfolds are an option." She smirked.
Fiona whispered in his ear and he nodded and headed upstairs.Fiona cleared her throat. "Okay everyone! Ceremony is about to start. Please go outside and follow the trail to the venue." She smiled.
Fiona joined the people sitting down on cure wicker chairs in front of a white wicker archway that had flowers all over it. Within minutes the music started playing and the bridesmaids started walking down the aisle one by one.
After the bridesmaids, Kaya with her father on her arm turned onto the aisle. Kaya had on her elegant vintage wedding dress, her hair was tied back and curled at the back of her head. She held a pink and white bouquet in her hand and wore a matching flower crown on her head. She looked up and smiled at Jason.
Kaya nodded her thanks to her dad who stepped aside, and handed her flowers to Hannah. She took Jason's hands and looked at the priest who'd marry them, standing in front of him.
After he said his vows, Kaya already had tears in her eyes. She recited hers which were her own words she wrote down in her notebook. Then she starred into his eyes and said, "I do."
She smiled against his lips, kissing him back deeply. One hand was on his cheek and the other was on his waist. The audience cheered.
