((Yeah))Later that afternoon, their driver pulled up to their home.
Melody unbuckled her seat belt and got out.
She nodded, even smiled. "You're married?"
David got out and grabbed Finn and some of their bags. "It's good to be home."He smiled and nodded. "Yeah for four years now. Her names June." He twisted the ring on his finger.
"Yeah." She said, smiling a little. There was a paparazzi hiding behind a bush, snapping a picture of them. She grabbed a bag, thanking their driver. She smiled. "Peter and I have been married for almost four. About a year and a half." She said, playing with her own rings.
"Hey, remember that electric like I had installed around the house? You mind turning that on?" He looked over at the paparazzi while walking up to the door."We are actually expecting right now. I knew I couldn't be a good father until I tried to get to know my first son." He told her.
Melody looked at him then followed his gaze. She sighed. "They know they aren't allowed any closer. If they get overwhelming we'll call the police." She said, following him up the walkway to their apartment condo. "Congratulations." She smiled, then her smile fell. "Right." She sighed. "Why all of this sudden care for him? You didn't care about him when I told you I was pregnant. Or when I had him. I know we never officially dated but..." she shrugged.
"I know. I just like to see their reactions." He chuckled as he walked up with her."Like I said, I'm not going to give any excuses. I know I haven't been the best and I don't expect you to forgive me for anything but I'd at least like to see him. Even if it's just once." He looked over into her eyes to try to see what she would say.
She giggled and followed him into the lobby of their building. She waved to the doorman and lobby associate then pressed in the code that lets them access the elevators. Caroline bit her lip, listening. "It's not that I don't want you to see him." She said. "If he was younger it would be easier but he's nine now so he understands more things." She said. "It's something I would have to ask him." She said.
"Why don't we live out somewhere secluded?" He asked as he got in the elevator. "A nice small home just to ourselves."He nodded. "I understand. I just hope it haven't been to late." He looked down at his ring.
She listened, nodding. "Id like to live closer to my parents. We don't need to seclude ourselves necessarily." She said, stepping into the elevator once it opened. She nodded. "He's understanding. Of course I told him who you were. He's a smart boy. I'm sure he'll want to meet you. But I can't make him see you if he doesn't want to."
"I know. Maybe after you have him we could find a place we can stay for a little while so paparazzi won't take pictures of him." He pressed the button for their floor."I hope he does. I won't blame him if he doesn't." He looked back up. "I should get going. Thank you for having me." He stood up.
She nodded. "Yeah. The only pictures they'll get of him is what we post on our social media." She said. She checked on Finn, who was asleep in his car seat carrier."You can stay if you want." She said. "I mean...there's no rush for you to leave." She stood up also.
"Being on the edge of a forest always relaxed me. We haven't gone camping or anything." He said."No I have to check on June. The pregnancy has taken a toll on her." He told her. "It was nice seeing you again." He walked to the door."
She nodded. "We would have to wait for the boys to be a little older in order to do that." She said. The elevator stopped on their floor, and Melody stepped out."Is she okay?" She asked absently, then took out her phone. "Here; put your number in my phone. I'll talk to him tonight but I'm going away for three months in a couple of weeks."
"Staying in a cabin is still nice." He carried their bags and Finn inside.He took her phone and put his number in and then put her number in his phone. "We've had a few scares but everything's fine. She's still cautious. It's not our first try."
She nodded. "We can look into it." She said. She stepped into their modern condo, sighing softly. "Home." She said. She frowned. "Matt I'm really sorry." She put her hand on his arm.
He set their bags down and got Finn out of the carrier. "Feels like we've been gone forever." He smiled."Everything's fine now. The doctors triple checked everything and she's perfect." He nodded and smiled slightly."
She smiled and nodded. "I know right?" She kissed finns head then davids cheek.Finn began to wake up.
She nodded, taking her arm away. "I'll let you know what Noah says. I'll also have to talk to my husband."
"I'm going to take a shower then put stuff away." He said. He brought bags to their room then picked up Finn."Okay. I'll hear from you." He walked out and back to his car.
Melody nodded. "Are you going to put Finn down?" She asked."Bye." She watched him from the doorway.
"Will he go back to sleep?" He brought Finn to his room.Matt drove back home:
"I don't know. He can cuddle with me." She said.She sighed and went back inside, closing the door.
"What about your pregnancy pillow?" He walked to her with Finn and the pillow.((Skip somewhere?))
"Are you saying I have to choose between our son and a pillow?" She smirked ((Sure where?))
"And me after the shower. Though if I know you then you could fit us all." He chuckled and handed her the pillow first.((When she talks to Peter and then Noah about Matt?)$
"Oh I'll make it work." She giggled and took the pillow.((Sure. Could you start?))
"Yes you will." He gave her Finn and then went to shower.((Yup))
Peter arrived home with Noah and Abby. "Hello hello." He walked over to Caroline.
She smiled and laid out on the couch with the pillow and Finn.Caroline was stood up from the couch. "Hey." She smiled, reaching for him.
He took a long shower since it had been a while. He walked to his room and changed into more comfortable clothes. He then walked to the couch.He hugged her and kissed her. "How was your day?"
Melody looked up. She was spooning her pregnancy pillow and Finn was cradled in melody's' bent legs, playing with a toy.She kissed him back. "Interesting." She sighed, pulling away.
He chuckled and sat at the end of the couch yay was open. "The bed would be more comfortable." "How so?" He asked as he set his things down.
She nodded. "I know but I can't get up." She sighed.Caroline made sure Noah wasn't in the room, watching him follow Abbey upstairs. "Noah's father came by today." She bit her lip.
"Later then." He nodded and smiled at Finn."What did he want?" He frowned and crossed his arms.
"But I want to cuddle with you too." She pouted cutely, giving him her signature look."He wanted to have Noah back in his life." She murmured. "I told him that only Noah can be the judge of that." She sighed, crossing her arms too.
He nodded. "He only way is if I replaced the pillow. Then there would be enough room.""If you say it's okay and Noah wants him back then we should let him. Noah needs to know his real dad. It will help him later in life." He leaned against the couch.
She smiled, nodding. "Deal. Can you grab Finn so I can sit up?" She asked nicely.She nodded, picking up Violet from the playpen, holding her on her hip. "Noah knows of him but of course he's never met him." She said, lightly bouncing Violet.
"Yup. Come here bud." He picked up Finn and stood next to the couch.He nodded and smiled at Violet. "Do you think Noah will want to meet him?"
Finn smiled and held onto him.Melody sat up with a grunt, pulling the pillow out from under her. She tossed it onto the floor and made room for David. She held out her arms to take Finn back.
She nodded slowly. "I think so." She said. "You know, I never asked him for child support money from him at all."
He handed Finn over to her. Once she was set he laid down next to her."How long has it been since you've seen him?" He asked her.
She held Finn and sat him on her lap as he laid down. She then pursed her lips. "How should we do this?" "Da." Finn squealed.
"I haven't seen him since I told him I was pregnant with Noah." She said. "So almost 11 years ago." She sighed. "I never bothered to follow up with him on social media or anything."
"However you feel comfortable." He told her. He fixed himself so she had the most room.He nodded. "Did he say why he wanted to be in Noah's life?"
She nodded and sat Finn on the couch beside her and laid down in front of him so he could spoon her. She held her belly as she tried to adjust herself accordingly. She then coaxed Finn over, who crawled up to her belly, sitting just underneath it. "Ba ba." He said resting his head on Melody's belly."His wife is pregnant and he thinks he should have a relationship with his first born." She said. "He...him and his wife have had complications conceiving, it seemed."
David put his arms around her and one hand on her belly. "You're really beautiful." He muttered to her."That is a good idea. I wish them the best of luck." He said.
She put her hand on his. "I hope so. I am making a human". She giggled.She nodded. "Should I have tried to have in Noah's life sooner?"
"You're always beautiful and amazing." He kissed her cheek. "Not just a coupe months till he arrives.He shook his head. "If you forced Matt into Noah's life then it wouldn't have ended well. Both of them need to want to be apart of each other's lives."
She blushed and nodded. "June 6th." She smiled. "Speaking of which, we need to decide on a name. How about we each list our top three and each eliminate one from each other's lists."She nodded, sighing softly.
((That's my parents anniversary))"I think that's a good idea. You go first." He thought of names.
"Knowing his father will help Noah." He said.
((Oh cool lol))She nodded, turning on the to for Finn quickly. "My top three are: Frazer, Grey, and Shepherd. List your three, then we will eliminate."
She nodded. "I know that. But it took him this long to realize he wanted Noah in his life."
David curled up in the chair.
He nodded. "I knew you were better. My wife follows your sister on social media and sees you sometimes." He chuckled lightly.
