Peter got up and picked Violet up. He walked to the kitchen with her.Christian woke up slowly to try to stand on his own.
Violet held onto him."What are you trying to say little man?" She turned him over on her lap so she could see him.
Peter got out a sippycup and filled it with water. He gave it to Violet. "Here you go, V."Christian stared at him mom then fell in her lap and hugged her.
She took the cup and signed 'thank you'He giggled and tickled his sides. "Can you 'I love you?'" She asked him. He's said a few words before, but he wasn't coherent.
'You're welcome' he signed back to her. He kissed her forehead."Love." He said then signed 'I love you' to her.
She smiled and sipped from her cup.She smiled. "That's good! You sign that to Vi. can you use your words to say you love me?" She squished his cheeks.
He walked back into the living room. "I love you mommy." He told her. He leaned over and kissed her cheek.
She drank, looking behind her as he walked.She grinned and held him close. "I love you too sweet pea." She kissed his head.
"I think that was his first full sentence." Peter sat down and put Violet in his lap facing Caroline and Christian.Christian signed 'love you' to Violet.
Caroline pouted her bottom lip, watching her twins interact. Violet smiled behind her cup, nodding to him.
"Ouch that's my heart." Caroline sniffled.
"I wish I could record this." Peter smiled and watched.Christian offered his sister one of his toys.
Caroline wiped at her eyes. "Uhg." She sniffled. Violet shook her head at him, still holding her cup in her mouth.
Kaya smiled, looking up from her laptop.
"I think she just wants to drink now, bud." Peter said.Christian put the toy down and sat down.
Violet put the cup down for a few minutes to breathe and settle. Caroline smiled. "Our little nuggets."
Alexis walked in the front door, arriving home from school. "Hey guys." She said
"Hello. How was school?" Jason asked her.Peter held the cup for her. "Just in time to help. I have to go pick up the kids."
"School was fine." Alexis said. She put her backpack by the stairs and nodded at Peter as she ended the living room. "I got an A on my oral presentation that I did last week." She announced.

Peter got up and held Violet out for Alexis. "That's great."What was the presentation about?" Jason asked.
Alexis took Violet, also taking her cup. "Climate change. Very boring." She said.
"It's very important for your generation and ones after." Jason said.Peter walked over and kissed Caroline before leaving to get the kids.
"I guess." Alexis said. She sat with Violet.Caroline kissed him back, holding Christian still.
Christian crawled over to Violet and Alexis."I thought you'd go over and help Mike pack." Jason said.
Alexis put Violet down to sit with with Christian on the floor. "I will later. I wanted to come home first. We're trying to give each other a healthy distance since we've been together for two years now." She said."You and mike are okay though?" Kaya asked.
"Yeah we're great." Alexis smiled.
"I have to go back to my home town to sell my mom's house," Jason said. "I was wondering if you wanted to come with me. To see where you're mom and I grew up."Christian sat with Violet.
Alexis looked between him and Kaya. "Uh yeah sure. When?" She asked. Kaya bit her lip and tried to focus on her project.
Violet offered her sippy cut to Christian.
"In a few months. It'll just be a trip for a few days." He looked over at Caroline.Christian took she and took a few drinks before offering it back.
Alexis nodded. "Okay sure. I'll go." She agreed. Caroline squeezed her mom's knee assuringly.
She took it back and sipped from it, finishing it off.
"Okay." He looked over at Kaya. "You'll. Be okay?"Christian offered her his toy again.
"Well I'm not going so I'll be fine." Kaya said.Violet took the toy happily.
"Is there anything you'd like me to bring back or something you want me to do?" He asked.Christian grabbed another toy to play with her.
She shook her head. "I don't want any memory of that place." She murmured.Violet smiled and played with him, making odd sounding noises unawarely
He nodded. "Okay." He looked down at the kids playing.Christian followed her movements but didn't mimic her sounds.
"Have you ever thought about putting her into vocal lenses?" Alexis asked. "I don't know." Caroline said. "I want sign language to be her initial language. When she's older I want her to have the choice of a hearing aid or vocal lessons to help her speak."
"How are Abby and Noah doing with sign language?" Jason asked.Christian signed to Violet.
"Pretty good. They know just as much as the twins know." Caroline replied. Violet signed back, but then stood up on wobbly legs and hobbled out of the living room curiously.
Christian got up and tried to follow."Where are they going?"Jason wondered.
Caroline got up. "They're toddlers. Very curious creatures." She followed them. "Hey munchkins; you have to stay in sight okay?" She didn't stop them, just followed them to make sure they wouldn't hurt themselves.
Christian continued to follow his sister, wondering where she was going.
Violet waddled into the kitchen. She tried to open one of the cupboards, but they were baby proofed. "You want to play with some Tupperware?" Caroline knelt down to unlock it.
"Mike hasn't asked me to prom yet." Alexis sighed.
Christian moved toward the sink. A knife was balancing on the edge."I'm sure he's going to but I'd just worried about other things right now." Jason said.
Caroline unlocked it, and stood back up. She took the knife and put it in the sink, sighing softly. "Okay you can pick two each out of here that you can play with in the living room." Caroline opened the cupboard. She signed to Violet: 'pick two.' "Like what?" She crossed her arms.
Christian grabbed a lid and a bowl that was to big for it."Packing and selling the house, finding a job, plus he's already graduated. You're still in school so you should ask him." Jason told her. "No one would be in this room if I didn't ask your mom to prom."
Violet picked up a small lid and a rectangular container. "Okay now lets go back to the living room okay?" Caroline locked up the cupboard. Violet reached up to Caroline, so Caroline picked her up, helping her hold the stuff.She rolled her eyes. "I just like the idea of being promposed to." She said.
"It was a normal school dance sweetie. But yes." Kaya patted his leg.
Christian walked ahead of them to the living room."You never know what he has planned." He said.
Caroline followed him with Violet. Once in the living room, he put her down. "I know I'm just thinking out loud." She shrugged.
Christian sat back where he was.Jason nodded. "He loves you you know."
Once they were settled, Caroline sat back down beside Alexis."I know." Alexis smiled. She then looked down at her lap, furrowing her brows while playing with her hands in her lap.
Christian walked over with his Tupperware and sat in Alexis's lap."It's rare to find a guy like him these days." Jason said. "He'd do anything for you."
Alexis picked Christian up, adjusting him on her lap. "I know." She said softly. Caroline looked at her sister, then at her parents, then looked away.
Caroline stood up Christian.
