"Do you know what to do?" He asked Kaya. He tried to calm down Violet.
"She wants her mom." Kaya said simply. "So we show her where her mom is." She told him.
"But I don't want to wake Caroline up." Jason said.
Kaya shrugged. "Neither do I but sleep isn't something new mothers have, even with babies who are 20 months old." She said. Violet continued to cry, which sounded weird because she was deaf and couldn't hear her own voice.
"I'll go get her. Hold Violet." He stood up and handed Violet to Kaya then went upstairs.
Kaya nodded and took violet. She held her against her chest and lightly rubbed her back to sooth her.Caroline was sleeping deeply enough that she didn't hear Violet downstairs.
Jason slowly opened the door and saw Caroline and Pete sleeping peacefully. He sighed and walked in. "Sorry Care." He shook her shoulder.
Caroline furrowed her brows. She rolled onto her back and rubbed her eyes, sighing. "What are you sorry for?" She mumbled.
"Violet is crying for you. You're all she wants." Jason told her.
She sighed and nodded, rubbing her face. She sat up, carefully getting out of peters arms. "Thanks." She stood up quietly.
Peter turned over in his sleep.Jason walked back downstairs.
She closed the bedroom door behind them and followed him downstairs. "Can you get me a coffee please?" She asked her father, then smiled when she saw Violet in Kaya's arms. "Hey baby, I'm here." She approached and picked her up.
Jason nodded she walked to the kitchen. "Two sugars?" He asked.Christian moved to the edge of the playpen when he saw his mom.
"And cream please." She called. She adjusted Violet on her hip, then leaned over to touch Christian's hand, moving it down to his cheek. "Hey handsome."
"Okay." He turned on the coffee machine and hit what he needed.Christian giggled and gripped her hand.
Caroline carefully picked him up and put her babies on the floor. She took some of their toys and books out of the pen, then sat down with them on the floor.
Jason walked back out with her coffee and put it on the table near her.
"Thanks daddy." She touched his leg, then took a small sip from the mug. Violet tried to touch it, which Caroline quickly stopped her. 'Hot.' She signed. 'No touch.'
"You're welcome Care." Jason sat down next to Kaya again.
Kaya smiled. "So how does next weekend sound to check out the mental facility." Kaya said.Caroline nodded. "Just to see it right?"
Kaya nodded. "After that we pick a date to submit you."
"Jess and Brandon are free to watch the kids." Jason said.
Caroline nodded. She sighed softly and played with a pop-up book with her babies. "We're going to make sure you get the best of the best there Care". Kaya said.
"Am I the only one who knows about Brandon and Jess or did they tell anyone else?" He asked.
Caroline looked over at him while holding Christian in her lap. "What? Did they break up?" She frowned.
"No that they can't have kids." He said. "I would have thought they would tell others."Christian played with toys in his mothers lap.
"They can't?" Caroline frowned. "Well that's even worse than them breaking up. Jess just adores children." "Have you ever thought that maybe it was a moment where a son was confiding in his father?" Kaya gave Jason a look.
"He didn't just come up and tell me. It came up in conversation. I even asked if anyone else knew and he said me might tell some others." Jason told them.Christian looked at everyone talking.
"Maybe it just hasn't been the right time." Caroline said. "And it really isn't our business." Caroline smiled at Violet who was playing with a toy.
He nodded "Well only is three know so let's keep it that way."Peter walked downstairs into the living room. "That was a nice nap."
Caroline nodded then looked up at Peter, smiling. "I'm glad you got some sleep." Violet signed 'dad' when she saw him.
"Did you sleep a little?" He walked over and picked Violet up.
"Enough." She nodded.Violet held onto him. 'Play.' She signed to him.
"That's good." He sat down and gathered the toys she liked.Christian held up a book for Caroline to read.
Violet smiled, crossing her legs.Caroline smiled and picked up the book. "This one?"
Peter plaid with Violet. Christian nodded she laid back against her.
Caroline held him in her lap and held the book open in front of him as she softly read to him.
Christian slowly fall asleep in her arms.
"You just slept you squirt." Caroline said
He shook his head but couldn't keep his eyes open.
Caroline giggled and closed the book. She stood up with him, holding him against her chest.
Christian put his arms around her loosely as he was just about asleep.
Caroline giggled. "You getting the kids after school?" She asked Peter
"Yeah I'll probably leave in a little while." Peter told her.
She nodded. "Do you want me to come?" She asked
"No you can stay with the kids. Violet seems to be having one of her days." He said.
Peter continued to play with Violet.
Violet played quietly.Caroline laid down on he floor with Christian.
He smiled at Violet.Christian nestled up with his mom.
