He brought her over to the couch and set her down. "Want anything to eat?"
"You get it started and I'll make the popcorn." He went to the kitchen.
She nodded and opened up Netflix on the tv.
He put the popcorn in the microwave and waited.
"Hey pumpkin," her mother said as she came in through the front door with groceries."Hey." Alexis smiled.
As soon as the popcorn was done he took it it and put it in a bowl. He brought it out. "Oh hey Mrs. West."'he said when he said her.
"Don't call me that." Kaya smirked. "Hey." She said with a small smile.
He gave the bowl to Alexis. "Need any help with the bags?" He asked her.
"I'm okay." She said. She brought them to the kitchen.
He nodded and sat on the couch next to Alexis. "What show are we continuing?"
"How I Met Your Mother," she said
"Ah yes. What season did we leave of at?" He asked.
"Only for left." He grabbed a handful of popcorn.
She nodded and grabbed a handful and ate out of that hand.
He watched with her as he ate the popcorn.
Kaya poked her head into the living room. "Caroline is back home." She said."Oh good," Alexis said. "Is she okay?"
"She had a mental break down." She told him. "She sliced her arm a few times.""Alexis," Kaya said in her stern motherly voice.
"Oh. I hope she's okay now." He said.
"Good. How are the kids?" He wondered.
He nodded and continued to watch the show.
Kaya left to finish putting the groceries away.
She laughed a few times at the movie.
He smiled at a few parts and laughed at others. "It's sad that it ended."
"I know right? But it had to eventually." She said.
"Yeah. It was on for so long." He gave her the bowl back.
She took it. "I didn't like the ending." She said
"Why?" He asked. "What was wrong with it?"
"He ended up with Robin all along." She said. "After all of that."
"What's wrong with that? They found each other in the end." He said.
"Yeah but the whole purpose of the show was how he met his wife. Then she just dies off." She said
"He was explaining to his kids how he felt about Robin through telling them how he met their mother." He said
"Still! It was anti-climatic. Everyone knew he loved robin," she said
"Maybe that's how they wanted it." He said.
"Well I didn't like it." She argued.
"That's fine. You don't have to like everything." He said to her.
