"'No I mean I really do. You deal with me when I'm like this. You still love me." She said
"I'll always love you no matter what." He said. "I could never stop loving you."
"But how?" Tears gathered in her eyes.
"I fell in love with you as soon as you said hi to me. I knew you were the one. Over time I saw how amazing you were and I fell even more in love." He cupped her cheeks in his hands.
"But I'm sick, Peter." She sniffled.
"That shouldn't matter. I don't care how messed up you think you are. To me you will always be beautiful and amazing." He told her.
She whined and buried her face into his chest. "I don't deserve you."
She turned away and flopped onto their bed.
He laid down beside her and put his arms around her.
She rolled into his arms, covering her face.
"We should go on a family vacation." She said
"Yeah. It would be good for everyone. When should we go and where?" He asked.
"Disney world sounds fun.", she said. "I don't know when though."
"Disney World is a great place. We definitely should go there." He nodded.
She nodded and uncovered her face.
He smiled at her and pulled the blankets over them.
"When's your next business trip?" She asked regrettably.
"Next month." He told her. "I'm gong to be farther away and for longer."
She frowned deeply and moved away from him.
"I'm sorry. There was nothing I could do about it."He said.
"There has to be." She said. "I know you love your job but you always away from your family all the time."
"I try as much as possible to be here but it doesn't always work out." He told her.
She shook her head and played with covers of their bed.
"In three months I have time off. We could do our vacation then." He told her.
"I don't want you to do at all." She muttered.
"I'm here until next month." He moved over to hold her again. "We can talk about a vacation until then."
"Peter, I don't want you leaving." She sat up, out of his arms. "I know you love your job but you have to put your family into consideration. If I wasn't sick it'd be fine but I am sick and I need you." She cried. "I need help, Peter." She finally admitted.
"Okay." He sat up. "Okay. I'll find something in the company where I don't have to travel. If I can't then I'll leave and find something else." He told her.
"No," she wiped her eyes. "I can't make you leave your job. You love your job". She said
"I love my family more. I need to take care of you. That's all that matters." He said.
"Peter, stop." She covered her face in her hands.
"You just said you didn't want me to travel so that's what I'm doing." He said.
"Yes but I don't want you quitting work all together," she moved over so she was sitting on his lap, facing him.
He put his arms around her waist. "I'd look for another job before leaving if I had to."
"You don't have to change your life for me." She rubbed his chest.
"I will if it helps you and the kids." He rubbed her back lightly.
Caroline whined annoyingly and rested her head on his shoulder.
"I love you." He muttered to her. "So much."
"You're impossible." She whispered, but then sighed. "I love you too."
He kissed her shoulder. "We should check on the kids before we end up falling asleep or something."
She nodded, sitting up. "Then sleepy sex?"
He nodded and smiled slightly. "You know me so well."
She giggled while kissing his cheek then moved off the bed. "I'm still a little hazy from the drugs so nothing crazy tonight." She said.
