He tried to take her hand. "Let them help you. They can make the voices go away. I want you to let them help you."

"They're going to lock me away." She cried. She pulled his hand from his.
"No they won't. Not if you let them help. If you try to fight them then you will be. I don't want that to happen. No one does." He told her.
He took her hand gently. "They may have to take you to the hospital but you won't have to stay long. Is that okay?"
"Yeah." She said quietly. "I can't get up." She told him.
Brandon helped her get up. The paramedics helped her as well. They started to treat her cuts.
Caroline stepped out of the tub and leaned heavily against her brother. A paramedic wrapped her up in a thick blanket.
Brandon held onto her as he helped her out to the ambulance. "Thank you for letting them help." He saw Jess in the car with the kids.
Caroline couldn't even look at the car with her kids in it. She followed the paramedics to the ambulance, stepping up into it.
He stayed beside her as they treated her. They drove off to the hospital and he saw the car follow.
She was given a sedative to calm her down, which made her very sleepy. She laid down on the gurney and a paramedic hooked her up to the IV.
He sat beside her and held her hand. He called their parents to let them know what happened.
"Where's my husband?" She whispered.
"He's out of town. Would you like me to call him?"He asked her.
"Okay. You should sleep now. You'll feel better." He said.
He sighed and closed his eyes but didn't fall asleep. He looked out the back to see Jess in the car.
Caroline fell asleep.Jess was following in the car. She called his phone though.
He answered. "She's fine. Once we get to the hospital they'll treat her better."
"Okay but I'm gonna take the kids to our hotel room okay? I don't think a hospital is a place for them to be:" she said.
"That's fine. I'll stay with Caroline until they let her go. I'll let you know when." He said.
"Okay. I love you." She said. "I'll try to contact Peter."
"I love you too. Try to get ahold of Melody as well." Said to her.
"I will but isn't she in New York for Saturday Night Live?" She asked.The ambulance pulled into the emergency entrance of the hospital.
"Yeah she is. My parents are there. You should leave a message." He said. "I'll talk to you later." The paramedics unloaded her from the ambulance and brought her in.
"Okay I love you." She smooched into the phone then drove toward the hotel.She was rushed into a room.
He smiled slightly and walked next to the gurney.
"Are you immediate family?" A doctor asked. She was placed on a bed then a nurse pulled the curtain over it so she could change Caroline into a hospital gown.
"I'm her brother." He told the doctor. "She's had breakdowns before but this was the first time I was the only one to help."
The doctor nodded. "I was told she's a regular. I'm new here." She told him. "I've been given her file." Once at the hotel, Jess got the children settled into the second bed. She sat in the first one with Christian and violet laying down beside her. She dialled peters number.
"Yeah we've been here a few times. She hasn't been here for a while though." He said.Peter answered after the third ring. "Hello?"
To doctor nodded. "Is this the first one since she's had the twins?" "Oh thank god." She breathed. "Hi um im Jess, Brandon's boyfriend. So um your wife Caroline is in the hospital after a mental breakdown."
"Yeah it is. I don't think she had any during her pregnancy." He said."Is she okay? What happened? Are the kids okay?" He asked her.
She nodded. "And is the self harm a habit of hers?" "Yeah, I think so. Brandon is at the hospital with her now. I have the children here with me. They're safe I promise." Jess assured.
"Yeah it is." Brandon nodded."Okay. Thank you. I can't do much from here." Peter said.
"I thought so." She said. "We'd like to keep her over night or possibly longer. Just so we know that she won't harm herself or others. You're free to stay with her if you'd like." She said."Are you able to catch the next flight here?" She asked.
"I'm going to stay with her." He told the doctor."The next flight I could take is at ten o'clock tomorrow." He said.
"Okay. Find me she's having having any problems." She said."That's good." She said
"I will. Thank you." He waited for her to be done changing."Are Noah and Abby asleep?" He asked.
"She's all done." A nurse came from behind the curtain. "Her arm is wrapped up and she'll be a little groggy from the medicine.""Yeah they are." She told him.
"Okay thank you." He walked over and sat next to the bed."I'll call back when they are awake to check on them. How are the twins?" He asked.
Caroline was laying on her side. Tears streamed down her face."I have them laying in front of me. Violet is awake but Christian is asleep." She said.
He took her hand she watched her."Caroline usually sings to them to have them fall asleep." Pete said.
"He's going to hate me." She said whispered."Okay I can try that." She said.
"Who is?" He asked softly."I have to go. I'll call back later or you can call me if you need me." He told her.
"Peter." She whispered."Okay. Thanks." She said.
"Why would he be mad? I'm sure he would be more worried." He squeezed her hand lightly."Thank you." He hung up.
"I put the kids in danger." She said.
