"It's probably my fault." She shrugged again
He shook his head. "Why would it be? You haven't done anything."
"I don't know I'm not patient, I guess." She sighed
"That alone isn't why I'd fight with you." He sipped his coffee.
"Well it's the only thing I can think of." She played with the lid of her coffee.
"Then he has no reason. You're not to blame." He said.
"Does he make you happy?"He asked her
Tears welded up in her eyes. "Y-yes."
He looked into her eyes and put his hand on hers. "Alexis."
"Don't." She sobbed, taking her hand away.
"Why are you still with him?" He asked.
"Because he was there for me last year." She said
"If he doesn't make you happy then why stay?" He sipped his coffee.
"Because I still love him." She said
"But does he love you?" He sat forward.
"Yes. I like to think so." She said
"But do you know so?" He drank what was left of his coffee.
"He says it all the time," she said
"What do you fight about?" He asked.
"How he's usually late for dates or what not." She shrugged
"And what are his excuses?" He asked.
"Are you sure he's faithful?" He asked
"Are you going to drink your coffee?" He asked.
"I sort of lost my appetite for it." She admitted
"I'm sorry for being an emotional wreck all the time," she said
He shook his head. "It's fine." He told her.
"Would you like to go somewhere that's not here?" He suggested.
"Just take me anywhere." She stood up. "Please." She added
