Caroline smiled down at Christian, gently rubbing her finger across his cheek. "Our little Christian."
He kissed her head and looked down at their son. "He's beautiful."
"Where's Violet?" She tried to look over at the nurses caring for her.The doctor frowned. "She's to small so she's being tested and put into an incubator".
He sighed. "When will we be able to see her?" He asked the doctor.
He nodded. "Once you find out anything, you tell us." He looked over at Caroline.
Caroline was gently rubbing Christians head with her thumb, gazing down at him,
He pulled up a chair and sat next to them.
"He's going to have your hair." She murmured, glancing under the hat Christian was wearing.
He nodded. "I think he has your eyes." He smiled at them.
He chuckled. "Yeah. I wonder what Violet looks like."
"You can see her if you want. We'll have to wheel you over to her." A nurse said."What's wrong with her?" Caroline asked.
"She's barely five pounds." The nurse said.
He looked over at Caroline. "Do you want to see her?"
Caroline nodded. "Yes please." She held out Christian.
He took Christian in his arms and stood up.
The nurses gathered around her bed, unlocked it, and began to push her bed out of the room.
He followed the nurses and Caroline.
They parked her bed in front of Violet's incubator. She was so small, hooked up to machines and was slightly tinted purple. "Oh my god..."
He put his arm around Caroline. He sighed and looked at Violet.
Caroline reached forward and our her hand in one of the small circles in the incubator. She gently touched Violet's small hand with her index finger.
He looked away and closed his eyes so tears didn't fall.
"How long does she have to stay here?" Caroline asked weakly."Until she's fully grown. So maybe a month." She doctor replied.
He looked at the doctor. "Is there anything we can do?"
"Not really no. We have formula we can give her in placement of breast milk. Other than that, we just wait." He said
He nodded. "Okay." He looked at Caroline. "You need rest."
Caroline kept staring at Violet, her finger on her hand.
He looked at Violet and then at Christian.
Caroline took her hand back and wiped her wet eyes.
He sighed and looked at Caroline again.
"I can't help but feel bad." She whispered.
She curled up on her side and cried. The nurses rolled her back into the room.
He followed them, carrying Christian.
"Aw sweetie why are you crying?" Kaya asked as the nurses locked her bed in place."I just want to hold her." She sobbed.
Melody held out her arms. "I can take him of you'd like."
He gave Christian to Kaya and sat in the bed with Caroline.
Caroline scooted close to him and rested her head on his lap, snuggling against him. Kaya carried Christian over to Jason.
Peter ran his fingers through her hair.Jason looked at Christian and smiled. "Wow."
"He kind of looks like you." She smiled. Melody came up beside her parents. "Yeah he does." She giggled. "But he won't be a West blonde like all of us unfortunately."
Caroline was exhausted. She eventually fell sleep on his lap.
Jason nodded. He ran his thumb over Christian cheek.Christian slowly opened his eyes.
From lack of sleep, Peter fell asleep.
Kaya gasped. "Oh! He has our eyes." She smiled

He smiled. "Yeah. I wish Brandon was here. He was so disappointed when he left."
"Why don't we FaceTime him?" Melody suggested, taking out her phone.
"He's in a class right now. We can tell him when he's done." He said.
Melody sighed and nodded. "Well I'll go tell everyone the news." She left the room
"It's to bad about Violet. At least she's alive." Kaya said
