She looked at him with her bright green eyes, not knowing what to say.
He looked in her eyes. He slowly moved his hand onto hers.
She looked down at his hand and touched his back. "Do you know who did this to me?" She whispered.
He shook his head. "No I don't. I'm sorry."
She nodded. "Just thought I'd ask."
"If I did he probably would be in the hospital." He said.
She nodded again and reached into her nightstand. She pulled out a card. "I got this for you"
She shrugged. "It's just a thank you card." It had an iTunes gift card in it.
"Thank you." He smiled and looked at her.
She smiled a little. "It was no problem."
"So…will you let me take you out when you can?" He asked.
"Yeah." She nodded. "I get my cast off next week but I'll be getting a boot on it, so I'll at least be able to walk."
He nodded. "Okay." He grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and wrote down his number.
"Here." She giggled and handed him her phone,"
"Thanks." His face was red again. He put his name and number in her phone.
"Do you have a nickname?" She asked.
"My full name is Michael but people call me Mike." He said, handing get phone back.
She changed his name on her phone to Michael"
"I like formal full names." She smiled
She giggled. "What's your middle name?"
"Not telling." He stuck his tongue out.
He shook his head. "Not unless you tell me yours."
She bit her lip to stifle a giggle. "Oh."
He smiled. "What have you been up to these past weeks."
"Well I just got back from the hospital the other day." She said
"What have you been doing?" He asked.
"Crying." She murmured. "And sleeping.•
She smiled a little and looked at him.
"Thank you for the balloon." She murmured.
"You're welcome. Thanks for the card." He said.
"You're welcome." She echoed with a smile.
