"You have nothing to be sorry for." He told her.He smiled and moved to kiss her neck.
She sniffled. "I can't help but feel like It's my fault."She closed her eyes and inclined her head up for him.
"It's not. Now of this was." He told her.He kissed around her neck and then up to her lips again.
"I should have never went to that party." She sobbed."Jason." She giggled.
"No one could have know what would have happened." He told her."Kaya." He pulled back and smiled at her.
"Still." She cried."My coffee is getting cold." She laughed.
He kissed her head."Oh yeah." He helped her off the counter.
"I don't know if I'll ever get over it." She sniffled. She giggled and kissed his cheek then grabbed her coffee.
"Well everyone is here for you. All you need to do is ask." He told her.He watched her.
"I don't know what to ask for. I have nothing left." She whispered.She stirred her coffee with a soon.
"We're here for you no matter what." He told her.He started to make himself some coffee.
She nodded and sighed softly. "He took my necklace you gave me." She whispered."I have to go to New York this weekend." She said.
"I'm sorry." He hugged her tighter."What for?" He asked.
"He took everything from me!" She yelled."I have to meet with my publishing company. I....I think I'm going to write only one more book."
"Have you talked to mom about it yet?" He asked."Just one?" He asked. He took his coffee off the pot.
She shrugged. "Not really.""I'm going to retire." She looked at him.
"Do you know what she went through?" He asked.He nodded. "What will it be about?"
Alexis nodded. "I could tell without her even telling me. The moment she looked at me in the hospital; I could see it all over her face.""What happened to me. I'm going to make of non-fictional." She said.
"She cried in car before she took me home. All she wanted was to protect us from what happened to her." He said."I assume I'll be in it." He said.
"And she assumes this is her fault?" She murmured.She smiled and patted his cheek. "Of course."
"She knows the only person to blame is the guy that did it." He told her.There was a knock on the door.
She shivered. "I still remember what he smelt like."Kaya looked at him then walked down the hallway. She opened the door.
"You're fine right now." He said."Hi I'm Mike. I found Alexis. I wanted to see how she was doing." He was holding a ballon.
She didn't say anything. She just wiped her eyes.Kaya blinked. "Oh! My goodness...right! Uh yes, come on in." She stepped aside.
"Did you hear the doorbell?" He asked.He nodded and stepped in. "thank you."
Alexis nodded and sat up a little."She's upstairs. I'll take you." She led him up the stairs.
"I'll go see." He hit up she went to the door."Okay." He followed her.
Kaya stopped in front of Alexis's room just as Brandon was leaving it. "Oh, hey."
"Hey." He looked over at Mike. "Hi." Mike nodded.
"This is Mike. He's the one who found Alexis." She said.
He nodded. "Okay." He went downstairs."I'm guessing that was her brother?" He asked.
Kaya followed Brandon. Alexis nodded shyly. "Brandon."
He walked over and handed get the ballon and sat in the chair. "Hi."
"Hey." She blushed and took the balloon, smiling at it.
"I just wanted to see how you were doing." His face was turning slightly red.
She smiled at him and patted the side her bed. "Sit."
He sat next to her. "How are you?" He asked her.
"I'm okay." She smiled a little, shrugging her shoulders.
"Good. For the last few days all I've been thinking about was you." His face turned bright red when he realised what he had just said. "I mean was worried about you. I wanted to know if you were okay."
She blushed to. "Thank you for finding me, by the way. If it weren't for you, I'd probably be dead."
"You're welcome. I'm just glad you're fine right now." He smiled at her. "Oh I found something that's think belongs to you." He reached into his pocket and pulled out her necklace.((Will they find the guy who raped her?))
Alexis gasped audibly and covered her mouth. "Oh my god." She dropped her hand, he'd mouth wide. "Where did you find that?"
"After I left the hospital I went downstairs to where I found you to clean up. I found it and thought it belonged to you." He told her.
Tears gathered in her eyes. "Mike, you don't know how much this means to me."
He smiled. "I hoped it would cheer you up."
Without thinking she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tight.
He was surprised but hugged her back. "You're welcome."
"Thank you so much." She whispered.
He nodded but didn't know what to do or say so he just rubbed he back.
She gasped against his lips and moved her arms to around his neck.
