He smiled and waved. "We'll see you."
Brandon was on the kitchen having a drink. "This day could have gone better."
"Why do you say that?" Kaya asked.
"Well my sister hates me and I'll be gone in less than a year." He sat at the counter.
"She doesn't hate you," Kaya insisted
"Why do you think she doesn't?" He pours himself another drink.
"She's just going through a very traumatic time. You can't blame her for getting angry easily." She said
"I don't blame her. I blame myself. I push the limits. Sometimes they push back." He downed his third drink.
Kaya sighed, "Brandon stop." She took his glass.
He grabbed another glass and poured more. "I'm an adult now mother, I'm allowed."
"Not in this house." She grabbed the glass and pointed a finger at him. "Stop it please."
"Or what?" He tried to take the glass back.
"Brandon." She said in a motherly tone. "Don't do this now."
"I want to." He grabbed his jacket and his keys and walked out the door.
Kaya huffed and threw the glass at the wall, smashing it.
He walked over and hugged her tightly. "Hey hey, it's okay."
She clung to the front of his shirt, hysterically sobbing.
"I know." She cried. "I love you to."
"Let's go to bed. We've had a long day." He suggested.
She nodded, stepping back and wiping her eyes.
He picked her up and carried her upstairs.
"What are we, 19 again?" She giggled
"Well we're not yet fifty." She smiled.
He nodded. "That is true." He walked into the room.
"Should you go check on Lex?" She suggested softly.
He nodded. "Yeah." He set her down and walked to her door.
Kaya took off her shirt then her pants.Alexis was sleeping softly, curled up on her side.
He pulled the blankets up further then walked out and closed her door. He walked back to his room.
Kaya was sitting up in bed, her legs under the covers. "She okay?"
He nodded. "Yup. Fast asleep." He pulled off his shirt and pants and pug on sweat pants.
"Don't surprised if she wakes up screaming though." She sighed and shimmied down so she was laying under the covers.
He gig in with her. "It won't be the first time." He put his arms arms around her.
She rested her head on his chest. "Caroline." She sighed
He kissed her head. "Yeah. They both had nightmares around the same age."
"No. Caroline started showing signs of her disorders when she was eight." She said.
"Alexis had nightmares around seven or eight." He said.
She nodded. "But Alexis isn't mentally ill.
He nodded. "Yeah. Did Alexis ever tell us what they were about?"
"They were just typical nightmares kids have." She shruggedz
"Thank you for not running away and divorcing me for giving you messed up kids." She said in a slight jokingly tone.
Peter stood by the door with his and Caroline's stuff.
