He nodded and helped her up off the couch then up to her room.

When they entered her room, there was a pile of brand new books on her bed.
He helped her over to her bed and sat her down.
He nodded. "Since you won't be doing much for the next few weeks."
She nodded and piled them on her nightstand then pulled back the covers on her bed
He he helped her get under then sat next to her.
"I'm sorry for making a scene downstairs." She said.
"No it's fine. I understand." He ran his fingers through her hair.
She closed her eyes and was silent for a moment. "What....what happened to mom?"?
He sighed. "When we were younger, we had to keep out relationship a secret from her father. Whenever her uncle came over, he would…" he took a shaky breath. "…he would do things to her. One night he lost control and he…he raped her. I found her an hour later and brought her to the hospital."
Her eyes widened. "That really happened?" She whisperedZ
He nodded. "Yeah. That's why your mom has had a hard time dealing with this."
She frowned deeply, not knowing what to say I
"A lot of things happens to us, but we made it through. Just like we can make it through this." He told her.
"I don't think I can." She whispered.
"Why don't you?" He asked. He moved down to lay next to her.
"You don't know what happened." She said
"I know it was a traumatic experience. You'll never go to a party without thinking about it. You'll never walk down the school hallway without knowing that people are watching you." He said.
She closed her eyes. "I don't want to go back to school."
"You have to eventually. Maybe not this year but you will." He said.
She shook her head. "No. I don't want to."
"There isn't a point. I no longer want to be a doctor." She said.
"What do you want to do?" He asked her.
"Well you can't stay her forever." He told her. "You have to do something."
"I won't. I don't want to do anything anymore. He took it all away from me." She sobbed.
He hugged her. "You'll find something. I promise."
She flinched. "Please don't touch me like that".
"No it's fine. I understand." He sighed.
She curled up into a ball as best she could.
He stayed with her and eventually fell asleep.
An hour later, Kaya came in. She gently shook him.
"Melody and Caroline are leaving." She said.
"Okay." He walked downstairs to say goodbye.
Caroline was trying to button up her coat over her growing belly.
Peter, David, and Brandon were all taking.
"See ya dad." Melody hugged him."Babe, I need help." Caroline whined to Peter.
"Bye sweetie." He hugged her back."Yeah." Peter walked over and helped her. "Four more months." He muttered.
She kissed her dads cheek and grabbed her coat. "Let us know how she is okay?" She asked.Caroline giggled. "I should get a her coat."
He nodded. "Yeah I will. She's not at her best right now.""Yeah." He chuckled.
"I know." She sighed.She smiled and then went up to her dad to hug him.
He nodded then turned to Caroline and hugged her back. "Take care."
"You to. Love you." She then hugged her mom.
