She laid down beside him and draped an arm over his torso.
"Letting this happen to me." She said
"But I am here. And if happened." She sighed.
Kaya was woken up by the nurses so they could check her blood.
Kaya was awake and looked miserable. A nurse was taking our her IV.
"She can go home after she talks to the police." The nurse said, pointing at the cops at the door.
Kaya touched his arm. "I'll come out when I'm done."
The cops came into the room and talked to Kaya for several minutes.
They were talking in hushed voices so he wouldn't hear. When she was done, she went into the hallway. She was wearing a hoodie that belonged to one of the cops.
"Can I pick up some clothes at my house?" She askef
She stepped out and slowly walked into her house
She looked around her living room and sighed.
She followed him and began to stuff clothes into a backpack.
She took some books off her shelf and put them in a plastic bag.
"I think I'm okay." She said and ripped a piece of paper out of her notebook and sat down at her desk and began to write a note.
She wrote a note for her mom and kept it on her bed.
She handed him her backpack of clothes and went to the living room. She stood in front of the stain on the floor and sighed.
She frowned and touched the spot with her shoe. "there was so much blood."
She took her bag and set it on her lap
"May I have take a shower?" She asked.
"Thank you." She took her bag and went into the bathroom.
She took a long shower and frowned at the bruises on her thighs and hips.
She finished and changed into grey baggy track pants and a black tank top. She towel dried her hair so it wouldn't drip anymore. She then took her bag and went back into his bedroom.
"Hi." She said softly. She put her bag down and curled her hair behind her ears.
She smiled and blushed, looking at the ground. "Once or twice."
She crossed her arms under her breasts. "How am I perfect?"
She smiled and ran her hands up his chest and locked them around his neck. "You made me speechless."
She blushed under his stare and looked down. Her eye was still healing, so it was now light brown and yellow.
She closed her eyes and kissed him back.
"I have to go to court next week." She whispered against his mouth.
