She coughed and whimpered. There was a gash on the back of her head and there was blood in her mouth.

Kaya gasped when he lifted her up. Her eyes were closed since she was barely conscious. "Don't fucking move." Her dad stood in the doorway, holding a gun to Jason's head.
"I know what he's been doing. He'd tell me when he got drunk, but never used her name. Eventually I put two and two together. And it's a sick world son." He loaded the gun.
"I already know this. I've fucked up being a father. I know that. It all started when my brother started touching her. I didn't want to believe it. He's my brother and I love him.well, used to." He let out a shuddery breath. "I didn't do that to her." He nudged the gun toward unconscious Kaya.
He nodded slowly and put the gun down. His eyes looked behind them at the bodily fluids that stained the carpet.
The entire time he did this, Kaya kept her legs clamped shut.
After a few minutes, she began to stir. "Mmm."
She took a deep breath through her nose and moved her limbs. She groaned and curled into s ball as between her legs throbbed.
"Hey." She whispered and opened her eyes.
"Not good." She coughed and sighed deeply. "It hurts."
"My uncle came over a few hours early." She continued to whisper.
She nodded and hid her face in his pillow.
"It's my fault. I should have stayed."
She then coughed and sat up. Blood dropped from her lips.
She curled up into a ball and began to breath heavily.
"Do you know what happened?" They wheeled up a stretcher.
"Okay. Lay her down." They instructed
"It hurts." She whimpered."What does sweetie?" The nurse asked.
The nurse ordered the others to take her away. "Sir can you tell me what happened?" She touched his arm.
"Oh dear. Well we were sure start with a vaginal exam." She nodded.
"Not yet. Have you called the police?"
"Well call them here." She nodded and went to go attend to Kaya.
Several minutes the nurse found him. "She's okay. She's awake and doing fine. She had a bad concussion and some vaginal tearing but she's okay. We'd like to keep her for the rest of the rest of the night to keep an eye on her."
"Better." She smiled back weakly. She sitting up in bed. "What about you?"
She sighed."i told you, it's my fault. I didn't stay. I should have."
She sighed."i told you, it's my fault. I didn't stay. I should have."
"Please don't blame yourself for this." She squeezed his hand.
"No." She started to cry and reached forward and touched his face. "This isn't your fault Jason."
"It's not yours either," she wrapped her arms around him.
She titled her head up and kissed him back.
She broke the kiss and nuzzled her face into the crook of his neck.
"When did you promise him that?" She pulled away to look at him.
"He...he let you? I remember he shot my uncle when he saw him on me..." She shuddered.
This made her cry again. "I'm so selfish for not knowing."
