He sighed. "I had just come back from the studio, working on my latest album. I walked into the bedroom to change and there she was. In the bed, with my manager."

He nodded. "She was full on screaming his name. I could tell this wasn't the first or second time."
"Well it sounds familiar, doesn't?" She scowled at him.
He looked away. "That is something that I completely regret. She didn't. I really wish I could take it back but I can't. I'm sorry for hurting you."
"You didn't just hurt me, David." She leaned back in her seat. "You broke my heart; shattered my life. I loved you so much and for you to do that was life breaking. And it was all because you didn't like our sex life. Do you have any idea how that makes me feel?"
He looked up at her. "No and I probably never will. But I want to make it up to you."
She scoffed. "I don't think you can."((Il going back to sleep, will you be on later?))
"I'll do anything you want." He told her. ((I'll try))
She shook her head. "It's not that simple."((Okay))
"I know but I need to make it up to you." He told her
She shook her head. "What do you want me from me? Are you that desperate for someone to call yours so you'll come begging back to me?"
He shook his head. "I don't want a relationship and I know you will never have me back. I just want to make it up to you."
"To settle your conscience?" She muttered.
She rolled her eyes. A waiter came up to their table.
"Are we ready to order?" He asked her
Caroline nodded. "Yes. You first."
"Okay I'll have a cheeseburger with no onions please." He ordered
"I'll have Alfredo pasta with extra mushrooms please." She ordered next.
The waiter nodded and walked away."So what have you been up to lately?" He asked
Melody shrugged. "I've mainly been teaching and stating out of the spotlight." She said.
"Sounds fun. Wish I could do that." He sighed
She rolled her eyes, "don't play that card on me. You deserved everything you got." She muttered.
"Not all of it. Yes I wanted the fame but not the publicity. I wanted a stable future, not a girlfriend that lied to me and didn't support me. After a while I found out what I needed." He said
"What is it that you need?" She asked, biting her lip.
She parted her lips. Her heart skipped a beat. She then looked away, crossing her arms. "You should have realized that when we were eighteen."
He nodded. "I was eighteen. Young, naive, and stupid. I know that doesn't make my actions better but if I could do anything over again it would be that."
Melody nodded slowly. "I can't help but think about all the good times. Like when you were there for me when I was blind for a year. You were my first, David." She nibbled on her lip. "My first everything."
He looked down and closed his eyes. "You were my first as well, Melody." He mutterd
"If our sex like was so horrible for you, we could have talked about it, David." She looked at him. "Yes I know I didn't like to do the kinky stuff but I was only sixteen when we started dating."
"It wasn't horrible, I was. You were great. The only reason she had sex with me is because I was famous and she thought we would be rich together. I only dated her because I thought I was going to be a father. If I didn't then I would have tried to be with you." He said to her
Tears gathered in her eyes. "A-a father?" She whispered.
He nodded. "I've always wanted kids. I always wanted them with you. When she said she was pregnant, I was a little happy but I was sad it wasn't you."
"So what happened then?" She wiped her eyes. "Are you still going to be a dad?"
He shook his head. "She faked the pregnancy."
Melody gasped, but then pursed her lips. "I'm not surprised.."
"I was. She played me. After I found out I was devastated. But I stayed with her because I felt like I deserved it." He looked out the window." I did deserve it."
Melody didn't know what to say. The waiter came, dropping off their food then left. "I'm sorry." She murmured, picking up her fork.
"It's not your fault." He muttered before he looked at his food, then started to eat slowly.
"My family hates you, you know." She said, taking a few bites of her noodles. "If we were to get back together and forgive you I can't promise you they'll do the same."
"I know. He took a bite then swallowed. The one I fear the most is your sister."
Melody nodded. "I can see why, but lately she's been alright. It's my dad you have to worry about." She took another bite.
"And your mom. How is your family?" He asked her
"They're good." She smiled. "My mom is still writing and Caroline recently got married."
"Wow. Good for her. How's her son?" He took another bite
"Good." She smiled. "He's five now. My brother Brandon is eighteen and little Alexis is thirteen."
"Wow. Are they doing anything fun?" He asked
