Leigh (leighgray) | 61 comments Oh dear god - this year has sucked, for reading along with everything else (almost). Life has been so crazy - we moved on short notice; two days later my wife had a spinal fusion and really difficult three months afterwards, she couldn’t do ANYTHING by herself for the first two of them; two weeks after her surgery, the ‘rona came along; we’ve been working from home - or at least trying to - with a 7 year old in the house. There’s just been very little time to read - or my brain wouldn’t process. Did I mention that I’ve also been having health issues and, after months and many tests, was diagnosed with very early Parkinson’s and ... wait for it ... chronic combined type ADHD. Apparently it can get worse as one gets older, so what was once manageable - wasn’t. That explained a lot 😂 Now that my wife is functional, I’m in the office two days a week so can get more done, and I’m on meds for the ADHD, I’m playing catch-up. Good grief.

Leigh (leighgray) | 61 comments Thanks! So do I 😂 I’m reading again, which is lovely - I missed it a lot but couldn’t summon up the focus. Right now I’m moving back and forth between a YA type fantasy/romance and “White Fragility,” which is a good balance.
