A book about a teenage girl who is ‘unusual’/ different, likes reading and walks rather than tv.
Gets opportunity to interview for a selective school.
Tells about the past of earth and how it came to be the way society is now.
Specific ‘rebel’ who tried to over throw government.
At the end we find out that the girl is actually a robot monkey, as every ‘person’ is. The interview was a pretence to ‘kill’ her as they believe she is a rebel.
They rip out her battery.
