Jackie | 1745 comments it really show's her skill, doesn't it? I can just seeing them all doing it.

Sheila (in LA) (sheila_in_la) | 401 comments I am in the middle of chapter 9 and the investigation is just getting under way. I do think I know the meaning of the title (which had puzzled me). I am curious about the romance—apparently there is one. Fay and Stephen? (yawn) Dinah and ??? (intriguing).

I've always thought how horrible it would be to die and have most people be relieved and the rest of them downright happy!

Charles Dickens must have thought so too!

Fay seems to care that her husband is dead. He was a tyrant and verbally abusive but she seemed weak and a bit foolish before she married him. She needs someone to tell her what to do and preferably that person is her sister and not a bullying husband.

Mary | 62 comments Hello all, I'm enjoying this my second read of TUC, and must say it's better the second time through. Not that I can correctly guess all the twists and turns of the plot. GH is a master! My book is a Britsh publication, 1964, the paperback cover depicts an exotic woman in a photo frame, an ivory handled knife, and a sheaf of paper tied with a pink ribbon. One recurring bit that makes me laugh every time I read one, is the superintendent referring to "Mr. Rarding", or "Mr. Ralliday". I'm beginning to enjoy GH mysteries almost as well as her Regencies. Thank you for choosing TUC for us to wrap up 2019.

Hana | 652 comments My library took forever getting my copy to me--very unusual. I started last night and I'm really enjoying it. I'm pretty sure this is my first time through.

By Chapter 2 I had decided that if no one murdered the general I would personally arrange a time travel trip and do him in myself!

I'm laughing at all the Lola scenes :)

I totally agree! A Murder on the Orient Express scenario crossed my mind--another 'victim' who deserved his fate!
