Looking for a book set during the Aussie summer

I need help to tick off a category in a reading challenge* I am doing. Of course, I am leaving things until the last minute, which means I am having a mental blank. :-)

I am looking for a work of fiction that takes place during the Aussie summer. That's it. I am open to general fiction, crime or romance. It can be a historical or contemporary time setting.

I would recommend Scrublands. Chris Hammer knows how to bring the heat of a rural summer into the story.

12 Days at Silver Bells House this one is set in Australia (at Christmas) and its a short read!
Rain Dance is technically a YA book but a great read
I'm pretty sure the The Cattleman's Daughter is mainly set in summer with bushfires but its been a while since i read it
